Information and running orders will be available to be downloaded three days prior to the Show. Running orders will NOT be posted out. The ring is mesh enclosed. AWARDS: Rosettes will be presented to 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd places in all classes (or 10% of the entry). Clear round rosettes will also be presented for all unplaced clear rounds in every class. HEIGHT CATEGORY: SMALL: for dogs measuring 350mm or under at the withers MEDIUM: for dogs measuring over 350mm and up to 430mm at the withers LARGE: for dogs of any size over 430mm choice to run at L.H.O. or F.H.O. but must be the same height over all classes and choice must be detailed on the entry form. Changes in heights entered will not be possible once entries close. There will be separate awards for L.H.O and F.H.O. in the Large dog category. The Wootton Dog Show committee reserves the right to measure any dog or to ask for proof of height measuring. KC, BAA and UKA height records will be accepted as proof of measuring. GRADES: Grade One: For owners, handlers or dogs which have not gained a first place in an Agility Class or three first places in Jumping Classes at a Kennel Club licensed show. Grade Two: For owners, handlers or dogs which are not eligible for Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and have not gained a first place in an Agility Class or three first places at a Kennel Club licensed show, or elected to progress on points from Grade 1.
Grade Three: Open to dogs which are not eligible for Grades 1 & 2 or have elected to progress on points from Grade 2 at a Kennel Club licensed agility show and dogs which are not eligible for Grades 4, 5, 6 & 7. Grade Four: Open to dogs which have gained a first place in an Agility Class or three first places in Jumping Classes at Grade 3 or elected to progress on points from Grade 3 at Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows and are not eligible for Grades 3,5,6, & 7. Grade Five: Open to dogs which have gained a first place in an Agility Class or three first places in Jumping Classes at Grade 4 and are not eligible for Grades 3,4,6, & 7. OUR VENUE AND EVENT INFORMATION: The village of Wootton is situated in the beautiful Kentish countryside. The venue has a dog exercise area and there are plenty of nearby footpaths. Toilets and water are available on site. The Agility Competition is just part of the Wootton Dog Show experience. During the day, there will be various demonstrations to watch, along with a Companion Dog Show which we hope you will also support in between your runs. This year, for first time, Steve Wanstall, professional gun dog trainer, 7 times team member of England Gun dog team, representing England in international competitions and a professional international gun dog championship judge, will present his gun dog display during the lunch hour. In addition, there will be a display from the Police Dog Display Team and our regular Obedience Dog Display Team. As in previous years there will be a Companion Dog Show which agility competitors are welcome to enter. Come and wander around our Trade Stalls and join in the fun. Refreshments are available including Breakfast Bacon Butties on arrival, a BBQ at lunchtime and our usual great food, Tea, Coffee and Cake stalls along with a Beer Tent (if you feel thirsty or in need to drown your sorrows!)
RULES AND REGULATIONS: 1) The committee reserves the right to refuse any entry. 2) Only dogs aged 18 months or older on the day of the show may compete. 3) Bitches in season are not allowed on the show site. 4) Harsh handling is not permitted and any person so doing will be asked to leave the Show Ground and entries forfeited. 5) Dogs must only wear flat collars without any dangling attachments whilst under competition. 6) The Judge s decision is final. 7) Any dog that is a danger to people or other animals will be requested to leave the Show Ground. 8) It is the owner/handler s responsibility to ensure their dogs are under control at all times. 9) If you fail to clean up after your dog you will be asked to leave the Show Ground with no refund of any class entries. 10) Only dogs that are entered for the Agility may take part in the Agility Show. 11) No toys or food are allowed in the ring when under competition. Unless you are declaring your round will be Not For Competition (NFC) to the steward before you commence and then only silent toys will be allowed. 12) No refunds will be given on incorrect entries. 13) Should the judge require a re-run any result/faults gained in a previous run will be discounted. 14) It is the competitor s responsibility to be available for their class and running order. 15) Courses may not be walked between heights so please be available to walk the course at the beginning of each Class. 16) Dogs should remain on lead unless competing or in the exercise area. 17) Dogs should not be tethered on or near the ring when a competition is in progress. 18) Competitors enter at their own risk and the committee cannot be held responsible for loss, injury or damage to person, dog or property. 19) In the event of cancelation Wootton Dog Show reserves the right to deduct unrecoverable expenses before reimbursing remaining entry fees.
