Outdoor Fun! Cat Cat says Cat Cat loves to play with her friends outside. Gar a group of your child s friends to listen, act, and play toger. Start game by having group line up outside. Like Simon Says, begin each command by saying, Cat Cat says and watch your child s friends follow commands. Surprise children by giving m silly commands. After a few rounds, give a command without saying Cat Cat says The children should freeze in place during this command. Cat Cat suggests some of following for commands. Remember to start with Cat Cat says Flap your arms like a bird! Yell your name! Meow like Cat Cat! Zoom around like Rhino Rhino! Wave hi to your friends! Buzz like Bee Bee! Outdoor Fun! Animal pals freeze tag! This silly game combines two of Cat Cat s favorites: funny animal noises and tag. What you need: Space to run Whistle or a loud voice How to play: Gar players into a group and define boundaries for game. Have children begin running around designated area. After a minute or so, whistle or yell Freeze! Once all children have stopped, yell out an animal pal of Cat Cat s for m to imitate. For example, if you yell Bee Bee! kids can make buzzing noises as y run around. After children have acted out animal, whistle or yell Freeze! and yell a new name and have m start again. Continue this until you ve worked your way through all of Cat Cat s pals. Let different kids take turns calling out animal. Materials needed: Crayons Scissors Glue Popsicle sticks FUN FRIENDS!!! Indoor Fun! It s showtime, Cat Cat! Create a puppet show with Cat Cat! Instructions: Adult supervision needed. Print out copies of characters on next three pages. Supply children with crayons to color ir own versions of Cat Cat and her friends. If children are old enough, allow m to cut out ir own images. If not, cut out each character for m. Apply a dime-size amount of glue to Popsicle stick and adhere to back bottom of each of characters. Allow glue to dry while you talk with children about what kinds of sounds and habits different animal friends have. Once glue has dried, encourage children to put on a puppet show by ducking below table or behind a couch. Give m a chance to see what puppet show looks like!
