BEST OF BREED COMPETITION The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed (Variety) Competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which according to their owner s records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed champions in Best of Breed (Variety) Competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. Selects will be chosen following Best of Breed. NON-REGULAR CLASSES (INVOLVING MULTIPLE DOG ENTRIES) Note: As the judge s decision in these classes will be based on the merits of more than one dog, no one of the dogs making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won the class. Ch. 11, Sec. 8 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows provides that a castrated male may be entered as a Stud Dog in the Stud Dog Class and a spayed bitch may be entered as a Brood Bitch in the Brood Bitch Class. Stud Dog Class: For Stud Dogs and two of their Get. Stud Dog must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their get. The owner of the stud dog need not necessarily be owner of the get. While the merits of the stud dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the stud dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy, or the standard of the breed. Get must be entered in a regular class, Best of Breed Competition, or some other Non-Regular class. Entry Fee $28.00 as original entry, or $18.00 as additional entry. Brood Bitch Class: For Brood Bitches and two of their Produce. Brood Bitch must be entered in the Brood Bitch Class and must be shown in the ring with their Produce. DAY PARKING INFORMATION The overnight and day parking is a privilege extended by the Clackamas Kennel Club, Inc., the Parking agent and the Clackamas County Fair. They reserve the right to withdraw this privilege from any person(s) who feel they cannot abide by the rules or resort to abusive language and/or other tactics. Any vehicle whose driver or occupant uses abusive language, argues with parking personnel or attempts to circumvent the rules and regulations will be asked to leave and will forfeit their parking privilege without a refund. All parking is at your own risk. If you park in a no parking area, you will be towed at the owner s expense. The Clackamas Kennel Club, Inc., the Clackamas County Fairgrounds and the Parking agents assume no responsibility or liability. Due to the increased demand for reserved parking at this show, there will be a limited amount of parking with electrical hookup. ADDITIONAL SHOW RULES Class Cash Prizes will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before the judging is over and the Show Secretary advised at once. The Club, On-Site Secretary, and/or BaRay Events disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging of the class is over. All dogs must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercising pen. No drilling nor intensive or corrective training of dogs on the show grounds or premises. All dogs shall be kept on leash except when in the obedience or agility ring. No Flexi Leads or Halter-type collars or pinch collars on the show grounds. Exhibitors are responsible for maintaining clean conditions in and around their crates/set-up. All regulations governing the use of the event facility and all regulations and decisions of the Event Committee will be strictly enforced, including any not recorded in this Premium List. All persons attending this event hereby waive any claim for damages against the Club, their members or agents, in the event a motor vehicle must be entered to rescue a dog from overheating or suffocation due to improper ventilation. Dogs found in an unsafe environment, distress or harm s way (for example: left unattended on a grooming table in a noose not attached to a safety release clip) will be removed to safety by the Club officials or security personnel. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS ALL EVENTS The American Kennel Club Rules and Regulations will govern this Show and Exhibitors must make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany this Show Premium List. The American Kennel Club will collect: a $3.00 Event Service Fee and $.50 Recording Fee where applicable for the first entry of a dog, plus a $3.00 service fee for each additional entry of the same dog in the regular and non-regular recordable single-entry classes, in all AKC licensed and member club events. At every licensed or member club rally trial, a recording fee of $3.50 is required for the first entry of each dog and a recording fee of $3.00 is required for each additional entry of the same dog. The event-giving club shall assume the responsibility of collecting all Event Service Fees for The American Kennel Club. These event service and recording fees shall be forwarded to The American Kennel Club along with all other required event results within seven (7) days of the close of the event. No Entry will be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Telegraph, e-mail and unsigned entries cannot be accepted and will be returned. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without Agreement and Rules on reverse side are NOT ACCEPTABLE. Neither the club nor its Superintendent/Show Secretary will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class Judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. Only dogs eligible for these shows will be admitted into the show area. There is no provision for unentered dogs. LOSS OR DAMAGE The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. ALL RIGHTS TO TELEVISE, VIDEOTAPE, ADVERTISE, PHOTOGRAPH, PROMOTE or otherwise exploit this event are vested in the Club, or in persons to whom assignments of such rights have been made in writing by the Club. All persons and animals on the Show Grounds at any time while the show is in progress, do by attending this show or participating therein, grant to the Club the right to photograph, televise, videotape, audiotape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent.
