DESCRIPTION AKC Canine Partners is a listing service for mixed-breed dogs, purebred dogs not eligible for AKC registration, dogs not eligible for AKC Foundation Stock Service (FSS), and dogs not listed in PAL at the time of enrollment in AKC Canine Partners.. The listing service grants privileges including the opportunity for the above described dogs to compete in AKC Companion Events: AKC Rally, Agility and Obedience. II. LISTING A. ELIGIBILITY Any person in good standing with The American Kennel Club may apply for an AKC Canine Partners listing by supplying The American Kennel Club with required information and complying with such conditions as it shall require. B. LISTING REQUIREMENTS No dog may be permitted an AKC Canine Partners listing if not spayed or neutered. If the dog is too young to be spayed/neutered at the time of enrollment into AKC Canine Partners, the owner certifies that the dog will be spayed/neutered at such time as recommended by owner s veterinarian. No wolf-dog hybrid may be permitted an AKC Canine Partners listing. Owners are required to acknowledge compliance for both provisions on the applicable online or paper AKC Canine Partners listing application. Further, if requested, the owner must submit proof to verify compliance with these requirements. Spay/neuter is a requirement for any dogs enrolled in AKC Canine Partners to enter to compete in AKC Companion Events. The owner or owners of a dog eligible for the AKC Canine Partners listing who in print or otherwise asserts or assert it to be spay/neutered, of canis lupus familiaris subspecies and not a wolf or the immediate progeny of a wolf-dog crossbreeding, in the past or in the future, and eligible for listing and on the strength of such assertion must pay the cost of its listing fees to fulfill the listing requirements. Falsely certifying the above assertions may subject listing person(s) to disciplinary action.

PERSON SUSPENDED OF AKC PRIVILEGES For specific and applicable offenses the person suspended from event privileges may not participate in any event held under AKC rules and regulations, except as a spectator. The reference to attending any event held under AKC rules as a spectator is all-encompassing. It includes, but is not limited to, prohibiting a suspended person from grooming or in any way preparing a dog for the event; leading an entered dog on the event grounds; or attempting to influence a dog or handler in an event. Further, for specific offenses a suspended person may not enter any event held under AKC rules and regulations when the published closing date for the event occurs before the period of suspension ends. In other words, a suspended person cannot make an entry into any AKC event until his or her period of suspension is over. Also, no co-owned dog may be shown during this period. Further, for specific offenses, the listing and registration services of AKC shall not be available to a person suspended of AKC listing or registration privileges. AKC will not accord listing or registration of any individual dog or transfer ownership of any dog owned solely or in part by the suspended person to another person. All applications are held in abeyance pending completion of the inquiry. Any transaction which occurs during the term of suspension will never be accorded listing or registration completion. When a dog is listed or registered in a co-ownership and any of the above suspension conditions exist as to any co-owner, no listing or registration will be accorded to that dog.
