Memorial Day will soon be here. For many years the WWII SubVets have celebrated Memorial Day at Como Park in St. Paul. We plan to keep this tradition alive and all Base members are invited to attend. We ll gather on the 28th of May at 1130 at the USS Swordfish memorial located just south of the pavilion in the southwest corner of Como Park. Look for a torpedo mounted on top of a four foot high cement pedestal. At 1145 we will conduct an abbreviated Two Bell Ceremony and lunch will follow at about noon. Please bring a potluck dish to share and your own beverage, dishes, etc. We will have a couple serving tables there, but you should bring your own chairs etc. We hope to see you there. Be aware, there is no shelter in the area. In event of inclement weather, please contact Joel Bergstrom 651-500-1676 to determine if the event is a go. 4

June 2nd, 2018 Dinner Cruise Reservation Order Form Our cruise on Lake Minnetonka is set for Saturday June 2, 2018. We're set to sail at 10:00 AM for a two hour brunch buffet cruise. The reason for the 10:00 AM start is there is a wedding on that ship on Saturday afternoon. The cutoff date for reservations is 10 days before we set sail. That date is May 24th. The cruise line will bring enough food to feed 50 guests unless we tell them differently, by May 24th. The boat will accommodate 100. Please inform our membership that they need to make reservations before that date. I don't know how strict they are about that cutoff date but why take a chance? I do know this, if our members try to just show up they will probably be out of luck. Click below for directions: http://www.twincitiescruises.com/directions-minnetonka Please make reservations for attendees at $40.00 per person Attendee s Name: Amount included: $ My Guests: The listed price includes all costs: Food, taxes, service charges, and gratuity.
