In payment of entry fees, the tendering of NSF cheques shall be considered non-payment of entry fees and is punishable by disciplinary action and cancellation of awards. A collection fee of $25.00 will be added to the amount of any returned cheque. Fax entries and/or credit card payment will be accepted when accompanied by authorized VISA or MASTERCARD credit card number, expiry date and cardholder s name. 10% of total fee will be added for FAX/Credit Card entries. Customers whose charges are declined by the Bank Card Authorization Department will be assessed a service charge of $25.00 for each transaction declined. Telephone entries are not accepted by the Show Secretary. Incomplete entries or entries received without fees, or entries received after the advertised closing date will not be accepted. CLASSIFICATION CONFORMATION: The following classes will be provided, divided by sex. REGULAR CLASSES JUNIOR PUPPY - 6 months & under 9 months on the day of the show SENIOR PUPPY- 9 months & under 12 months on the day of the show CANADIAN BRED - for dogs born in Canada, Champions in any country excluded. 12 18 MONTH CLASS 12 months and under 18 months on the day of the show. BRED BY EXHIBITOR - shall be for dogs owned and handled in the ring by the breeder. OPEN CLASS -shall be for all Dogs. SPECIALS ONLY - This class will NOT be divided by sex. A dog may be entered for Specials Only and such dog shall compete for Best of Breed award. If eligible it must compete for the award of Best of Opposite Sex. All awards the dog earned at the show will be cancelled if, at the time of closing of entries for the show, the dog was not registered individually in the records of the Canadian Kennel Club or if the dog has not earned all the championship points required for championship status. The entry of a Listed Dog in this class is NOT allowed. NON-REGULAR CLASSES VETERAN CLASS - In this optional class for All Breed Shows, dogs must be 7 years of age and over on the day of the show. Dogs entered in this class may be spayed or neutered. The awards for this class are: Best Male Veteran and Best Female Veteran Best Veteran in Breed Best Veteran in Group Best Veteran in Show A Veteran awarded Best Veteran in Breed is not required to stay to compete for Best Veteran in Group. A Veteran awarded Best Veteran in Group is not required to stay to compete for Best Veteran in Show. BABY PUPPY CLASS Dogs 3 months of age and under 6 months of age on the day of the show. The award for this class are: Best Baby Male and Best Baby Female Best Baby Puppy in Breed Best Baby Puppy in Group Best Baby Puppy in Show BRACE CLASS - This class shall be for two dogs of the same breed (not necessarily of the same sex). EXHIBITION ONLY - Dogs entered in this class may not compete in the regular breed classes. OVERNIGHT PARKING Self-contained camping units may park beside the arena NO RV ELECTRICAL HOOK UPS ARE AVAILABLE $35.00 for weekend Pre-booked sites $40.00 for weekend at show. PARKING Parking will only be in designated areas around the arena. The loading zones may only be used to load and unload dogs and equipment. Please limit the amount of time spent doing this for the convenience of all exhibitors. If it is found that excessive time is being spent in this area the show committee will ask to you to kindly finish and move your vehicle. Entries to be taken up to 1 hour prior to this event. There will be a $2.00 fee which will be collected at the show Judge - TBA CLASSES Peewee (Unofficial Class) Junior Novice Junior Open Intermediate Novice Senior Novice Senior Open Intermediate Open Junior handling is open to all persons from ages 4 up to 18 years of age on the date of competition. All Dogs must also be entered in the regular classes at the all-breed show, but need not be owned by the junior or any of his immediate family. A rosette and suitable prize will be awarded to the winners of First in each class, flat ribbons will be given to 2nd through 4th in each class. PeeWee handlers will receive a Participant ribbon and prize. A rosette and prize will be offered for Best Overall. CKC Junior Representative, BCSW Zone.Pam Legult Junior Handling Number Please note that effective January 1, 2016, in accordance with Section 3.4.1 of the Junior Handling Rules & Regulations, Junior Handlers will be required to apply to CKC Head Office for a Junior Handling Number. The application can be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed to CKC Head Office and there is no fee.

EXTRACTS FROM THE CONFORMATION SHOW RULES & REGULATIONS CHAPTER 4.1.3 - JUDGES A judge officiating at a show held under these rules shall not be subjected to any indignities of any kind during the progress of the show, and it shall be the duty and obligation of the club holding the show to see this rule is effectively enforced. CHAPTER 8 - ENTRIES and ENTRY FEES Section 8.3.1 Every dog entered in Championship Shows held under these rules must be registered, have an Event Registration Number, eligible for registration with the CKC or have a CKC Miscellaneous Class Certification number issued by the CKC Chief Registrar. If a dog is not registered individually in the CKC it may be entered at a show, held under these rules, as a listed dog, provided (a) it is not a Miscellaneous breed (b) if born in Canada, is eligible for individual registration (c) if foreign born and owned, an Event Registration Number or CKC registration number is obtained from the CKC within 30 days of the first show entered. A listing fee of $8.95 must accompany the entry of a listed dog at a show held under these rules. INCOMPLETE ENTRIES Section 8.2: Entry forms which are incomplete or those that contain incorrect information after the closing date of entries will be void and under no circumstances can changes be made. Any dog taking a win resulting from such an entry will result in the wins being cancelled. DISHONORED CHEQUES Section 8.6.2: Tendering of a dishonored cheque or credit card in payment of entry fees shall be considered non-payment of entry fees.clubs may refuse to accept entries from any exhibitor who have been known to tender dishonored cheques in payment of entry fees unless such entries are accompanied by a money order, cash or certified cheque. CHAPTER 14 DISQUALIFICATION Section 14.1.4 A dog once disqualified for any reason at a Championship show held under these rules cannot again be shown or entered at a show held under these rules unless and until said dog has been reinstated by the CKC. All awards earned by a dog shown in violation of this section will be cancelled by the CKC and the owner of said dog is subject to disciplinary action. Note: for any further information on reinstatement refer to Chapter 14, Section 3 of the Conformation Show Rules and Regulations CHAPTER 5 SHOW OFFICIALS Section 5.1.5 A show-giving club will be held responsible during the show for the conduct of exhibitors and spectators. Any person acting in an abusive or objectionable manner must be removed from the show on complaint to the Show Superintendent.

GENERAL RULES COVERING THESE SHOWS AND TRIALS RAL RULES GOVERNINSE SHOWS AND TRIALS 1. The Club reserves the right to remove any person from the Show. The Show Superintendent shall have full control of the above Shows and Trials, which will be governed by CKC Rules. 2. The Show committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of accident, or other misfortune, to either dogs, exhibitors or patrons. 3. A Judge or any person participating in any capacity at a Dog Show held under CKC Rules shall not be subjected to any indignity of any kind during the progress of the Show and it shall be the duty and obligation of the Club holding the Show to see that this Rule is effectively carried out. The Show Superintendent shall promptly report to the CKC any infringement of the Rule, and the Discipline Committee shall have the power to take such action as it deems fit on receipt of a report indication that this Rule has been violated. 4. Exhibitors are solely responsible for the conduct or actions of their animals while they are on the Show Grounds. 5. Dogs must be on the Grounds one hour before the judging of their Breeds, and may be removed when not required for further judging. 6. DOGS MUST BE READY FOR JUDGING. The Club will not be responsible for and is not obligated to provide any service for notifying owners or agents of Breed or Class Judging. No Ring shall be held up waiting Exhibitors or Handlers. Exhibitors and Handlers with more than one dog shall have substitute Handlers available so that judging will not be delayed. 7. The owner of a dog entered in these Shows is entirely responsible for any error in entering his dog, regardless of how or by whom the Entry was made. 8. A dog once disqualified for any reason at a Championship Show held under these Rules cannot again be shown at a Show held under these Rules until the dog has been examined by an Official Committee appointed by the CKC and the committee finds the dog is free from the condition which prompted the disqualification. Application for reinstatement must be accompanied by a fee of $25.00 which shall be forfeited to the CKC if the Examining Committee is satisfied that the dog should remain disqualified. All awards earned by a dog shown in violation of this rule shall be cancelled by the CKC and the owner of the dog is subject to disciplinary action. 9. Exhibitors and Handlers will be responsible for their dogs and for their equipment left at the Show Grounds. 10. For the benefit of the health of animals and the pleasure of the Exhibitors and the Spectators we insist upon keeping our Grounds as clean as possible. Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. Please Exercise your dog BEFORE taking it to the Judging Ring. Dogs are to be exercised in the designated areas only, NOT in the vicinity of the Ring areas. 11. No entry fees will be refunded if the Show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fore, an act of god, public emergency, act of public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the Club. 12. Entry Fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by the Veterinarian or Judge, barred from competition by action of the Show Committee. 13. The use of PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM will be kept to an absolute minimum. Therefore, IT WILL BE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE EXHIBITORS TO HAVE THEIR DOGS AT RINGSIDE, when necessary. There will Be no paging for individual dogs. 14. The washrooms and shower facilities are strictly for human use by order of the Health Department. Offenders will be removed from the Grounds for the duration of the shows. 15. Fort St John Kennel Club has a zero tolerance of abuse of any description involving any person involved with the shows 7including spectators. CHAMPIONS AND CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS SECTION #1. A dog awarded WINNERS at a Championship show held under these Dog Show Rules shall be credited with a number of championship points (ranging from 0 to 5), and the determination of the number of championship points to be credited to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be as provided hereunder. SECTION #2. In counting the number of eligible dogs in competition, a dog that is disqualified or that is dismissed, excused or ordered from the ring by the judge, shall NOT be included in the calculation for championship points (Absentees are not to be included). In order for a dog to be recognized as a Canadian Champion it must: (1) earn at least ten championship points under at least three different judges; and (2) be individually registered in the records of the CKC or have a CKC Event Registration Number (ERN) (3) have earned at least one 2 point win either at the breed or group level. Grand Champion (GCh) The title of Grand Champion may only be earned after the completion of the CKC Conformation Championship. Points for this title are only accumulated after the completion of the Conformation Championship and do not include the points earned in attaining the Conformation Championship. All required points are to be earned at the breed level. To be awarded a Grand Champion title, a dog must attain a minimum of 20 points which must include one Best of Breed and a minimum of two wins of at least two points each. a) Grand Champion Point System Points towards the Grand Champion title are awarded to the Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex, Select Dog and Select Bitch. Points are calculated based on the number of animals competing at the breed level for the Best of Breed Winner and the number of similar sex dogs competing for the other three (Best of Opposite, Select Dog, Select Bitch).
