RHEOLAU PARTHED ARDDANGOS DOFEDNOD A CHOLOMENNOD REGULATIONS RELATING TO THE EXHIBITION OF POULTRY AND PIGEONS 1. DELIVERY OF EXHIBITS After 4.00pm on Sunday 22 July 2018 to 9.00am on Monday 23 July 2018. Exhibitors who are unable to feed/water their exhibits may rest assured that every care and attention will be paid to the stock by competent stewards. 2. COLLECTION OF EXHIBITS (Tuesday 24 July) The collection ticket enclosed with passes allows: PEDESTRIAN ENTRY ONLY from 3.30pm onwards. VEHICLE ENTRY from 4.00pm to 5.00pm. (Vehicles as appropriate will be allowed access to the Fur and Feather Pavilion in readiness for unpenning). These times will be confirmed in your letter to exhibitors, which must be checked prior to your arrival. This system is operated under strict rules, your co-operation is essential. 3. UNPENNING (Tuesday 24 July) All exhibits must remain staged until 3.45pm on Tuesday 24 July 2018. All members of the public will be required to leave the Pavilion at 3.45pm when unpenning will commence. Exhibitors must box their birds prior to collecting their vehicles from the car park for loading. No exhibitor will be allowed to leave the building until all birds have been accounted for. Any exhibitor, agent or servant attempting to remove any exhibit before 3.45pm unless he/she has an early removal order or in any way contravening the regulations will be expelled from the Pavilion and may be required to forfeit all prize/s that may have been awarded to his/her exhibits or to those of which he/she may be in charge. Exhibitors will not be allowed to remove any exhibits unless accompanied by a recognised Steward. 4. ADMISSION TICKETS Entry fee to value of 10.00 (e.g.10 bird entries) = One free adult admission ticket for any one Show day Entry fee to value of 20.00 (e.g. 20 bird entries) = Two free adult admission tickets Juveniles 6 entries or more, in any classes = One free child admission ticket PLEASE NOTE: Monitoring of pens relating to stock not forward will take place during the Show and prior to exhibitors collecting admission tickets. SUNDAY: On arrival to the Show on Sunday, the Chief Steward will confirm that exhibitors concerned have brought the entries needed for free ticket/s which will then entitle the exhibitor to collect them from the Chief Sectional Steward. MONDAY: If the exhibitor brings his/her entries on Monday and qualifies for a second ticket, they can collect from the Chief Sectional Steward in readiness for the Tuesday. Please note all entry fees are inclusive of VAT. 5. JUDGING (Monday 23 July) Judging will commence at 9.30am. No person or persons will be allowed in the Fur and Feather Pavilion while judging is in progress. The Pavilion will open to the public at 12.30pm or on completion of judging. 6 JUDGES AWARD AT THEIR OWN DISCRETION AND THE JUDGES DISCISION IS FINAL. Judges have been asked to report back to the section at 2.00pm on the judging day to discuss the adjudication with exhibitors. 7. Exhibitors acting as Judges' Stewards at the Show may not assist with any classes in which they have entries.

8. The Society will take reasonable care for the safety of exhibits, and for any other property entrusted to it, but it must be distinctly understood by exhibitors, and all other persons, that the Society will not be responsible for the entire or partial loss, or detention of, or damage to any exhibit, boxes, hampers or other property during transit or at the Show, whether arising from an accident or any other cause whatever, nor for any act of omission of themselves, their officers, agents, servants, or others; and it is on this understanding only that entries and claims are received, and exhibitors will be required to hold the Society blameless in the event of any loss. 9. The Society will appoint suitable persons to attend to the exhibits free of charge, and no person may handle, pen or repack any exhibits without the permission of the Stewards in charge. 10. Prizes will be awarded or withheld at the discretion of the judges whose decision is final. Prize money will be paid via BACS within an eight week period after the Show (except in cases of protest). 11. Information from entry forms will be stored on computer and the name, address and details of entries may be published in the Catalogue, unless otherwise advised; information about results may also be published and/or provided to the press for publication. Information about exhibitors may also be passed to any regulatory authority or Trading Standards. The making of an entry is irrevocable consent for the storage and disclosure of information in this way. 12. Junior Competition to consist of a Junior Handler Competition, exhibits will be judged on the following criteria: - Quality of exhibit = 25 points Knowledge of exhibit = 25 points Show preparation = 25 points Handling = 25 points TOTAL= 100 Points 13. If the exhibitor is under 18 years of age then the entry form has to be signed by a parent/guardian who is over 18 years of age. Please note that whoever signs the entry form takes full responsibility for complying with all rules and regulations. If the exhibitor is entering the Junior classes by signing the form the parent/guardian is also confirming that the child s date of birth is within the class criteria. 14. Challenge Cups and Trophies PLEASE NOTE:- Challenge Cups and Trophies are now permanently housed in a purpose made Trophy Room situated in the Clwyd Glamorgan Hall. The winner of each Challenge Cup and Trophy will be awarded an Official RWAS Memento as a keepsake, their name will also be engraved on the Challenge Cups and Trophies. 15. Please note that the staging of the Poultry Section is dependent upon the regulations in force at the time of the Show relating to Avian Influenza (Bird Flu) or any other notifiable disease. The Royal Welsh Agricultural Society Ltd. are continually working with Welsh Government & APHA to ensure that all rules and regulations are implemented for the event. 16. No entry fees will be reimbursed to a competitor who decides to withdraw their entries when the competition is being staged under approved and controlled conditions when this is an outbreak of a notifiable disease within the UK. RHEOLAU PARTHED PROTESTIADAU REGULATIONS TO PROTESTS 17. Any exhibitor or member wishing to lodge a protest, having reference to a prize awarded to any exhibit at the Show, must deposit with the Chief Sectional Steward the sum of 25.00. If on investigation the protest is not sustained to the satisfaction of the Board of Directors the sum thus deposited may be forfeited to the funds of the Society. All protests must be delivered to the Chief Sectional Steward before 4.00pm on the day on which the award in dispute may have been made, no protest will be subsequently received unless a satisfactory reason be assigned for the delay. 18. Parties interested in objections may be asked to attend a meeting at the Head of Administration s Office on the Showground at 5.00pm on the day in which the objection is laid. Prizes not objected to will be paid over to the respective winners when duly qualified to receive them.
