Classes for dogs & bitches 8 years & under 10, 10 years and under 12, and 12 years and older. Sexes divided. Hunting Retriever Classes. Classes for dogs & bitches that have earned an AKC Junior Hunter, Senior Hunter, Master Hunter title, Field Championship, Amateur Field Championship or achieved Qualified All-Age Status in AKC field trials. BEST OF BREED COMPETITION Awards Of Merit. The Judge may select up to 10% of the of the Best of Breed entry in addition to the Best of Breed and BOS to BOB. Non-Regular Classes Involving Multiple Dog Entries Stud Dog Class. For Stud Dogs and two or more of their Get. Stud Dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and shown in the ring with their Get. Owner of the Stud Dog need not necessarily be owner of Get. Award will be based on the merits of the Get. If the Get are not entered in one of the other classes in this show for which it is eligible the regular entry fee must be paid. Brood Bitch Class. Same as Stud Dog except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get. In accordance with Ch. 11, Sec. 8 - a castrated male may be entered in the Stud Dog Class&aspayedbitchmaybeentered as Brood Bitch in the Brood Bitch Class. As a judge s decision in the Stud Dog and Brood Bitch Classes will be based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible for Best of Breed by virtue of having won this class. JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION (See descriptions on page 4) Novice Class Open Class OBEDIENCE TRIAL CLASS Regular Classes Novice A Novice B Open A Open B Utility A Utility B Non-Regular Classes Graduate Novice. The Graduate Novice Class shall be for CD dogs that have not been certified by a judge to have received a Qualifying score toward a CDX title prior to the closing of entries. Graduate Open. The Graduate Open Class shall be for CDX dogs that have not been certified by a judge to have received a Qualifying score toward a UD title prior to the closing of entries. Pre-Novice. The Pre-Novice Class shall be for dogs that have not received a third Qualifying score in a Novice Class prior to the closing of entries. Veteran. For dogs that have an Obedience title and are eight (8) years or older on the date of the trial. The exercises shall be performed and judged as in the Novice Class. Dogs may be entered another class. Rally Novice A Rally Advanced A Rally Excellent A RALLY TRIAL CLASS (See descriptions on page 4) Rally Novice B Rally Advanced B Rally Excellent B 3

The Following Applies to Both Shows Unless Otherwise Indicated RALLY TRIAL CLASSES The Rally Novice A Class. Dogs competing in this class may not have won an AKC Rally Novice (RN) title or any AKC Novice, Open, or Utility title. A handler must own the dog entered or be a member of the owner s household or immediate family. The handler may not have previously handled any dog that has earned an AKC Rally title or any AKC Novice, Open, or Utility title. A person may enter more than one dog in this class. After a dog earns the Rally Novice (RN) title, it may continue to compete in this class for 60 days. No dog may be entered in both Rally Novice A and Rally Novice B at any one trial. The Rally Novice B Class. Any dog may compete in this class until a qualifying score in the Rally Advanced Class is earned. The owner or any other person may handle dogs in this class. A person may enter more than one dog in this class. No dog may be entered in both Rally Novice A and Rally Novice B at any one trial. The Rally Advanced A Class shall be for dogs that have won the Rally Novice (RN) title but have not won the Rally Advanced (RA) title or any AKC Novice, Open, or Utility title. A handler must own the dog entered or be a member of the owner s household or immediate family. A person may enter more than one dog in this class. After a dog earns the Rally Advanced (RA) title, it may continue to compete in this class for 60 days. No dog may be entered in both Rally Advanced A and Rally Advanced B at any one trial. The Rally Advanced B Class will be for dogs that have won the Rally Novice (RN) title. A dog completing the Rally Advanced (RA) title may continue to compete in this class indefinitely. The owner or any other person may handle dogs in this class. A person may enter more than one dog in this class. No dog may be entered in both Rally Advanced A and Rally Advanced B at any one trial. The Rally Excellent A Class shall be for dogs that have won the Rally Advanced (RA) title, but have not won the Rally Excellent (RE) title or any AKC Novice, Open, or Utility title. A handler must own the dog entered or be a member of the owner s household or immediate family. A person may enter more than one dog in this class. After earning the Rally Excellent (RE) title, a dog may continue to compete in this class for 60 days. No dog may be entered in both Rally Excellent A and Rally Excellent B at any one trial. The Rally Excellent B Class will be for dogs that have won the Rally Advanced (RA) title. A dog completing the Rally Excellent (RE) title may continue to compete in this class indefinitely. The owner or any other person may handle dogs in this class. A person may enter more than one dog in this class. No dog may be entered in both Rally Excellent A and Rally Excellent B at any one trial. JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION NOTICE - Junior Handlers must include their AKC Junior Handler Number on each entry. You may obtain your junior identification number by calling the AKC at (919) 816-3776. NOVICE CLASS - for boys and girls at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who at the time entries close, have not won three first place awards with competition present in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. OPEN CLASS - for boys and girls at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who have won three first place awards in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show, with competition present. The winner of a Novice Class shall automatically become eligible, upon notice to the Open Class ring steward, to enter and compete in the Open Class at the same show provided the win is the third (3rd) first place award with competition and further providing there are one or more Junior Handlers competing in the Open Class. No entry may be changed or canceled unless notice of the change or cancellation is received in writing by the Superintendent or Show Secretary named in the premium list to receive entries, prior to the closing date and hour for entries, except that a correction may be made from one age division to another provided this transfer is made by the Superintendent or Show Secretary at least one half-hour prior to the scheduled start of any Junior Showmanship class at the show. SWEEPSTAKES & VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES The Sweeps & Veteran Sweeps on Friday evening, April 27, 2007 are part of the Saturday, April 28 Specialty Show. The Sweeps & Veteran Sweeps on Saturday evening, April 28, 2007 are part of the Sunday, April 30 Specialty Show. HANDLER: The handler of a Sweepstakes exhibit must be either the owner, co-owner, breeder or member of their immediate family as they are listed on file with the American Kennel Club as of the closing date for the show for which the Sweepstakes entry is being made. Division of Prize Money for Veteran Sweepstakes The club will retain 40% to cover expenses. The remainder of entry fees will be divided as follows: BestinSweepstakes/VeteranSweepstakes...15% Best of Opposite Sex to Best in Sweepstakes/Veteran Sweepstakes...10% In each of the Classes, the remaining 35% will be divided as follows: First ineachclass...15%ofentryfeesofthatclass Secondineachclass...10%ofentryfeesofthatclass Thirdineachclass...7%ofentryfeesofthatclass Fourthineachclass...3%ofentryfeesofthatclass Entry Fee $18. PUPPY SWEEPSTAKES Eligibility: Any purebred Golden Retriever 6 months of age entered in any of the regular classes at the specialty show in which these Sweepstakes are held. AKC Champions of Record are not eligible. Handlers for all Sweepstakes entries must be owner, co-owner, breeder or member of their immediate family as of the closing date of the show. Each entrant will be presented with a commemorative rosette bearing the dog s name. The Parade of Titleholders is $18.00. Dogs need to be at the show only at the scheduled time of judging, and may leave immediately thereafter unless required for further judging. The show site will be open for exhibitors after 6:00 am on Friday, April 27, 2007. All dogs should be removed after Best of Breed and the end of Agility on Sunday, April 29, 2007. RV s may stay over Sunday night if necessary, but must be off the property by 10AM. If a dog is entered in more than one class in one of these events, the AKC Recording Fee and Service Fee is to be collected on the first entry only. (AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows, Ch 11, Sec 2). An AKC Recording Fee of $3.00 will be required for each entry in any Licensed or Member Club Rally Trial. If a dog is entered in more than one class in a Rally event, the AKC Recording Fee is to be collected on each of the entries of that dog. (AKC Rally Regulations, Ch 1, Sec 3). All Recording Fees are paid to the American Kennel Club. Telegraph, Telephone, Unsigned Entries cannot be accepted. Entries not on official AKC entry forms & photocopies of entry forms without Agreement & Rules on the reverse side of the official AKC entry form are not acceptable. Entries received without fees will not be accepted. Acknowledgment of entries will be made as soon as practicable with tickets and/or identification cards. The person accompanying a dog must show tickets of admission & identification before the dog will be received. Should such acknowledgment not be received by exhibitor within a reasonable time, please notify the Superintendent. No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Entry Fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of Show Committee. If because of Riots, Civil Disturbances or other acts beyond control of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made. Postdated checks and returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Secretary will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on CASH ONLY basis. No refund for duplicate entries. Every effort to find all duplicate entries will be made; however, if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. Errors on entry blanks. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. No Gasoline or Diesel Generators are permitted inside any building or within 100 feet of any tent in which this dog show is conducted. Unentered dogs may be kept on show grounds, in grooming and RV areas. These dogs are not allowed in show buildings or around competition rings. Owners must keep control of their dogs at all times. Parents must be responsible for children. Children must be kept under supervision at all times. Park at your own risk.
