Quote about showing and sportsmanship: Sportsmanship like behavior: behaving fair and generously. Be a good competitor and a generous one. Be a good loser, even if you don t agree with the judge. Remember you paid for his opinion. He gave it and you took the chance. Information taken from a 1992 Rabbits USA article, but the information is still appropriate today. The Ravings of a show secretary New exhibitors and for too many long time breeders fill out the show entry form in a jumbled manner and wonder why the show secretary makes so many mistakes. A long time show secretary tells us how to make her life and job easier and produce fewer mistakes. When entering rabbits on the entry form, start with one breed and variety, do all the bucks then all the does. Start with senior bucks, on to 6/8 s and then the juniors do the same with the does of this bred and variety. Then and only then go on to the next variety. After entering all of one breed then go on to the next breed. When you change breeds or varieties, skip a line. With all most everyone using a show program entry of the shows goes much faster if you list your animals in the above manner. There is nothing more frustrating than working with an entry and be inputting information when suddenly another breed or variety appears without any ceremony and then the owner skips right back to the breed or variety before. Typed entries are great, or they can just be put on a spread sheet, example below.
