The SPCA of Bradley County is an independent non-profit no-kill center that is dependent on donations and volunteers to rescue the helpless and abused animals in our community. Below is a brief description of the types of available opportunities that are available. Please indicate your top three choices in which areas you wish to help. Pawparazzi Photo and video team Engages potential adopters with photos and videos of potential pets. Needed at least once a week, preferably two. Mutt Marketing Meowzers Social Media and Marketing Strategizes to increase visibility for our animals and mission. Utilizes, integrates, & manages social media outlets. Creates adoption campaign ideas and promotions with staff approval. One-on-one cat enrichment and socialization Interact one-on-one with cats to ensure that their time is as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. Cat socializer s pet, groom, and play with the animals, tidy the cat's living area, wash/fold laundry, and interact with potential pet adopters. Bark Busters One-on-one dog training and enrichment Dog socializers interact one-on-one with dogs to ensure that their time is as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. Dog socializers engage the dogs with games, puzzles and toys. They also work on basic obedience, leash training, etc. to make the dogs more acclimated to the public for adoption. Canine Cruisers Dog Walkers Canine Cruisers walk one dog every 10-15 minutes, scoop any excrement while walking, and secure dogs in their runs upon returning to the center. They also work with the dog team to ensure all dogs have clean kennels, fresh water and food. They may also be asked to assist with washing dog dishes and washing/folding laundry.

Comb & Collar Club Bathing, nail trims, grooming A clean animal with freshly trimmed nails is more adoptable and easier to care for. Staff will maintain a list of animals in need of grooming services. Adventure Tails Field trip program for dogs Seasoned volunteers can take field trips with dogs from 2 hours to 2 days. If you provide proof of volunteering at another non-profit or have fulfilled your commitment at SPCA; then you are eligible for this opportunity. The manager of SPCA approves eligible candidates. Pavement Pounders Transportation team Utilizes volunteer time and resources to transport animals to and from veterinary appointments. Most trips are for drop-off purposes. Community Ambassadors Special events crews Adoption and Fundraising events are vital to our organization s success. In addition to promoting a good image in the community, these events provide a new audience for adoptable animals, while raising much needed funds for medical supplies and more. Handypaws! Maintenance, general repairs, landscaping, etc. The sweetest honey do list you ll ever see. Unfortunately, staff does not often have the time to make necessary facility maintenance and repairs, such as changing lightbulbs, tightening screws, repairing kennels, painting, etc. The Pawfice Office Helpers On occasion, center staff need assistance with a variety of office projects. These projects may include typing or computer work, filing, mailings, coordination of humane education or adoption packets, and/ or following up on lost and found reports. Many of these tasks can be done from home. Time commitment for administrative work is on an as-needed basis.
