Ramps at the sole discretion of the judge, approved breeds may be examined on the ground or on a ramp: Clumber Spaniels, Sussex Spaniels, Whippets, Irish Terriers, Kerry Blue Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Bulldogs, Chinese Shar-Pei, Chow Chows, Keeshonden & Polish Lowland Sheepdogs. (Whippets may be examined on the ground, on a table or on a ramp.) Basset Hounds are expected to be judged on ramp during breed judging. This list may be revised from time to time, and the current list can be found on the AKC website in Judging Operations. A judge requesting the use of a ramp must give reasonable notice to the Show Superintendent/ Show Secretary prior to the day of the show. AKC approval is not required. Ramps may be used in emergency situations to judge any breed. (In all but emergency situations, the exhibitor has no recourse. In an emergency situation, where use of a ramp is not indicated in the premium list, an exhibitor has the option of withdrawing their entry and receiving a refund.) Anyone who does not leave the space in the same condition as when they arrived will be subject to forfeiture of future parking spaces. This confirmation is your admission ticket to the RV/Trailer parking area and must be presented upon arrival at the show grounds. PARKING SPACE IS LIMITED. IF AN APPLICATION HAS NOT BEEN SUBMITTED PARKING MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE. IF SPACE IS AVAILABLE THE PARKING FEE IS $100.00. Overnight reservations are a privilege extended by the City of Virginia Beach. Any arguing, abusive language or failure to follow the rules or the directions of officials on duty will cause PERMANENT forfeiture of all parking privileges without refund of fees paid and the possibility of discipline by the Event Committee. Parking is strictly at the exhibitors risk. The clubs are by virtue of the submittal of the reservation application indemnified by the application for responsibility for loss by fire, theft, or damage or loss of personal property, or the loss or injury to the animal exhibits in their charge while on the show grounds. As courtesy, PLEASE DO NOT use generators between 11:00 P.M. and 6:00 A.M. Attention Exhibitors No Exhibitors allowed in the building before 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 29, 2008. As soon as the building is ready exhibitors will be allowed entry. Exhibitors will be responsible for cleanliness in the area surrounding their crates & vehicles. Trash receptacles & water will be available in the show areas. Please help us keep the show grounds clean. Dogs will be permitted to remain in the building overnight. Security guards will be provided. Exhibitors will have access to the building until 11:00 P.M. and at 6:00 A.M. for the care of their animals. There will be no space for unentered dogs. No Private Exercise Pens: In the building, Between the loading docks, In the flower beds, On any grass, Or in the parking lot except in the reserved RV area. If sawdust is used in x-pens, you must have plastic under & up the sides. Exercise equipment furnished by MB-F, Inc. Additional public exercise equipment will be provided by MB-F, Inc. No private exercise equipment will be permitted indoors at anytime. This includes no exercise pens as crating. No crates allowed in aisles at any time. Grooming & Crating in designated areas only. Stacking will be enforced. NO mats or rugs on the floor. No soft mesh crates will be allowed. Crate Tags are encouraged. All Crates must be stacked, violators will be subject to Event Committee Hearing. An area for Day Grooming will be provided. It MUST be cleared EACH DAY 1 hour after Best in Show. Any equipment left in this area will be removed. No baby strollers will be permitted in the building. No dogs allowed on South side of building. This will be enforced. Parents will be responsible for children. Children must be kept under supervision at all times. Anyone parked in an unauthorized space will be towed at owner s expense. No saving parking spaces. Dogs May Arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. Judges Will Not Wait for Any Dog Holding Up a Class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. All Dogs Present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercising ring. No gasoline or diesel generators are permitted inside any building or within 100 feet of any tent in which this dog show is conducted. As specified in Chapter 12, Section 4 of the AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows, information contained on the entry form is required to be published in the club s show catalog. This information is also subject to publication in other media. Entry Fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of the event's Show Committee. If because of riots, wars, strikes, civil disturbances, national emergencies, health emergencies, and the dictates of law enforcement or of the owner(s) of the grounds and/or facilities or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made. Extreme weather conditions, such as, but not limited to, snow storms, hurricanes, lightning, extreme heat, heavy rains, or other circumstances including, but not limited to, the condition of the facilities or grounds and/or the ingress and egress from the grounds, must be considered for the health and safety of the dogs, exhibitors and spectators. The well-being of dogs, exhibitors and spectators is of paramount importance and, in the event it is necessary to cancel or stop the show before completion, no refund of entry fee will be made. 7 FRIDAY
