Rules With the exception of rules that pertain specifically to regular GroomTeam sanctioned classes (i.e. divisional and individual class rules), special class competitors will be expected to abide by applicable rules and regulations outlined in both the official show rules catalog and the addendum. Special Classes hosted by the U.S. Pet Pro Classic are: 1. Kim Laube & Co. U.S. Creative Styling Competition This year Kim Laube & Company is again hosting NOT ONE BUT TWO creative styling classes. They are: A. Laube U.S. Creative Styling Competition - Limited 20 entries This competition showcases individual creativity and pet styling talents. All trimming must be performed by a single individual in the contest ring on site at the Classic within 2 1/2 hours, inclusive of setting up all decorations and props. B. Laube Creative Challenge Competition - Limited to 20 entries This competition showcases the collective creativity of pet stylists. Entries may be submitted on behalf of an individual, salon, or team of pet stylists. Entries used for this class must be pre-trimmed prior to arrival at the show. 4

Contestants will only be allowed to set-up in a designated 5 x5 area at 4:00pm, Saturday, October 2, 2004 and must be ready for Judging no later than 4:30pm, Saturday, October 2nd. Electrical outlets will be limited to one per entry. Once the judging is completed, contestants will be allowed to exercise their dogs...but must return and remain set-up in their designated area throughout Saturday evening for a unique encore presentation of their creative designs. Since the dog will be on display throughout the evening, we request that contestants take this into consideration and avoid props or decorations that might become uncomfortable for the animals or will not allow the animal to be exercised. General Creative Styling Rules (applies to both creative classes) The U.S. Creative Styling and the Classic Creative Challenge classes are OPEN to anyone with any purebred or mixed breed dogs. Along with the contest registration form, registrants in the creative styling classes are required to submit an outline of their coloring techniques, application methods, and formulas. Winners will be determined by (1) the originality & creativity of the design & theme; (2) the quality of the styling techniques; and (3) the quality & harmony of the final presentation (props & decorations). Each entry must be an original design and contestants must name their designs. Contestants may utilize props, costumes, decorations, and finishing products to enhance their designs.
