CONFORMATION: Dogs may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed or Variety competition, provided this transfer is presented to the Superintendent at least one halfhour prior to the scheduled start of any regular conformation judging at the show. JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP: Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition present after the closing of entries for a show may transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class provided that this transfer is made by the Superintendent at least one-half hour prior to the scheduled start of Junior Showmanship judging at the show. Correction may be made from one age division to another. provided this transfer must be made to the Superintendent at least one half-hour prior to the judging of any Junior Showmanship class at the show. OBEDIENCE OR RALLY: A dog who has earned a title after entries have closed may be moved up to the next class, provided the transfer request is presented to the Superintendent at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the trial. Move-ups may be approved provided the next level class and judge are available and the class has not reached its limit. NOTICE WAIVER OF RIGHTS: All persons attending this dog show hereby waive any claim for damages against the Club, or its members or Superintendent, in the event a motor vehicle has to be entered to rescue a dog from overheating or improperly vented conditions. GIG HARBOR SHOW SITE PARKING INFORMATION Friday Cavalier exhibitors will enter the back gate and be directed to an Unloading Zone and a designated parking area. SATURDAY and SUNDAY PARKING IS $5.00 PER SPACE PER DAY (SATURDAY and SUNDAY PARKING OF MOTOR HOMES & CAMPERS CHARGED FOR 2 SPACES) RESERVED PARKING RESERVATIONS ARE CLOSED 1. No reserved overnight parking until gates open 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 20, 2012. 2. Gates will open at 6:00 A.M. on Fri., Sat. and Sun. Gates will be closed at 11:00 P.M. 3. No dogs may be left in buildings overnight. 4. Handicapped parking available with Handicap Permit and License Number and are subject to reservation deadlines. 5. All vehicles must be completely self-contained. NO DISCHARGING OF GRAY WATER OR SANITARY TANKS ALLOWED. NO DUMP SITE. 6. Exhibitors are responsible for damage and clean up of their parking space. 7. All vehicles will be parked in the same direction in the rows. 8. All RVs must have a WORKING FIRE EXTINGUISHER. 9. All RVs using a generator must have proper exhaust venting. 10. For the well-being of all exhibitors and dogs, the Show Committee reserves the right to limit the use of generators in most areas from 11:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M. 11. Unauthorized vehicles will be impounded. 12. Day of show parking is $5.00 per space per day and will not be in reserved area. Motorhomes and campers will be charged two (2) spaces. 13. Power Hookups are limited and not guaranteed. The club is not responsible for any damages caused by hooking up to power. 14. Parking personnel will assist you in locating your space and answering questions you may have. THEY WILL NOT REASSIGN SPACES. Parking is a privilege extended by the Gig Harbor Kennel Club and the Club reserves the right to withdraw this privilege from any person who feels he cannot abide by the rules and instructions of our parking crew, or who resorts to abusive language and/or other tactics. There will be no refund of fees. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show NO REFUND will be made. We expect our exhibitors to be responsible guests. A report that an exhibitor at this show has abused hotel or motel property during this weekend may result in disciplinary action. Clubs reserve the right to decline future entries from the offending party in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 11, Section 15 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows. LOSS OR DAMAGE The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. 8 - COPS SEPTEMBER 2012
