SHOW SITE & HOST HOTEL Clarion Inn and Conference Center 1401 Arden Way, Sacramento, California 95815 Tele: 916-922-8041, Fax 916-649-4878 IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING SHOW SITE / HOTEL There is a four (4) dog limit per room. All owners/exhibitors should be aware that the entire hotel grounds are considered within the show grounds. You will be responsible for all damage to your room and may be subject to disciplinary action in accordance with the rules of the AKC. It is expected that exhibitors will clean up immediately after their own dogs and strongly encourage others to do the same. Dogs may not be kept in rooms which are registered as dogless. Any abuse of the grounds will be brought to the attention of the show giving club and its Event Committee. Any exhibitor s entries may be refused for previous misuse of the hotel facilities. This is an AKC supported measure. Do not interfere with hotel housekeeping functions by using Do Not Disturb signs to restrict access to rooms with dogs inside. Dogs must be crated when left alone in the room. Dogs shall not be allowed to run free in your room while you are gone, nor may you confine them in the bathroom. NO EXCEPTIONS! Place plastic sheeting under all crates, X-Pens and other equipment for confining your dog(s). Do not use hotel towels for dog grooming. Dogs must be kept quiet in the hotel rooms and in the grooming area. Strainers must be used for bathing all dogs. Dogs must be exercised in designated areas only. Please pick up after your dog(s). Use appropriate bags for waste and doggie trash and dispose in containers provided for waste disposal, not hotel trash cans. There will be no whelping of puppies in the hotel. Some areas of the hotel are off-limits to dogs. These include: All areas that serve food and beverages; Recreation areas including the Pool and Health and Fitness Room; and Public Restrooms. Grooming will be in designated areas and will be available on a first come, first served basis. Crates must be stacked whenever possible. Absolutely NO exercise pens in the grooming area. The Clubs reserve the right to limit the space any one exhibitor or group claims for grooming. There will be no security service on duty overnight. NO DOGS MAY BE LEFT IN THE GROOMING AREA OVERNIGHT. Dogs must be removed from the Grooming area one hour after judging is completed each day. All dogs and equipment must be removed one hour after judging is completed on 10/25/2013. DOGS ALLOWED IN RINGS ONLY WHEN BEING JUDGED. There shall be NO SMOKING within the grooming or ring areas, in vendor areas, or restrooms at any time. The American Lhasa Apso Club, the Lhasa Apso Club of Northern California, the Clarion Inn, and/or the Event Secretaries, their officers, members or agents assume no responsibility for dogs or personal property left in the hotel facilities or parking lots. TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL The Clarion Inn is providing FREE shuttle service to persons attending the national PROVIDED the reservation was made directly through the hotel at the ALAC rate, and advance notice of flight arrival time is provided to SHANDRA @ 919-922-8041. Call the hotel upon arrival at 916-922-8041. Dog are allowed on the shuttle provided they are crated or on a leash. Recreational Vehicle Parking Parking for the Lhasa Specialty shows is a privilege extended by the Clarion Inn and the show-giving clubs. They reserve the right to withdraw this privilege from any person who abuses it. All RV Parking will be in a designated area. RV Parking is free, but you must register with the hotel prior to September 21, 2013. You are not required to have a room at the hotel. There is electricity provided at $10.00 per day. All RV parking must be in the spaces provided by the hotel and must be left in a clean condition. All parking is at your own risk. Neither the Clarion Inn nor the show-giving clubs assume any responsibility or liability for damage or loss to any vehicle or its contents including dogs. All persons staying in RVs are reminded that the parking area they will occupy is part of the show grounds and subject to all rules and regulations thereof in accordance with the American Kennel Club s Rules and Regulations pertaining to Dog Shows.
