Classes for Dogs and Bitches 8 years or older. (Sexes divided, classes not divided by color). Hunting Retriever Classes. For dogs or bitches who have received a Judge s Award of Merit at an AKC licensed or sanctioned field trial or have qualified in an AKC Hunting Retriever Test (sexes divided, classes not divided by color). BEST OF BREED Judges Award of Merit: The judge may, at their discretion recall into the ring, a maximum of five dogs/bitches to receive Judges Select Rosettes. These Rosettes are reserved for those quality animals the Judge feels are worthy of final consideration for Best of Breed. NON REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING MULTIPLE DOG ENTRIES Stud Dog Class. For Stud Dogs and two of their Get. Stud Dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and shown in the ring with their Get. Owner of the Stud Dog need not be the owner of the Get. Awards will be based on the merits of the two get. Get must be individually entered in one of the breed classes in this show for which it is eligible. Brood Bitch Class. Same as for Stud Dog except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get. A judge s decision in the Stud Dog or Brood Bitch classes will be based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible for Best of Breed by virtue of having won this class. THERE ARE NO JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP CLASSES AT THESE SHOWS TROPHY DONATIONS All trophy donations will be most gratefully accepted. Challenge Trophies - Saturday, February 24, 2007 The Greater Atlanta LRC offers at it s Saturday Spring Specialty Show a Labrador Retriever Statue for the following placements: Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex, Best Puppy, Best in Sweepstakes, Winners Dog and Winners Bitch. For all Challenge Trophies the owner of the winning dog shall have custody of the trophy for one year and the name of the winning dog shall be engraved on a plaque. For permanent possession the trophy must be won three times by the same owner not necessarily with the same dog. Best Bred By Exhibitor: A Labrador Retriever Statue offered by Cheryl Little, Whisperwood Labradors, at the Greater Atlanta LRC Saturday Spring Specialty Show. The owner of the winning dog shall have custody of the trophy for one year and the name of the winning dog shall be engraved on a plaque. For permanent possession the trophy must be won three times by the same owner not necessarily with the same dog. Best Veteran: A Labrador Retriever Statue offered by Carol Quaif, Carenna Labradors, at the Greater Atlanta LRC Saturday Spring Specialty Show. (770) 343-9566 80 Rooms (37 Singles, 43 Doubles) have been blocked for the event. When making reservations, inform the hotel representative that you are coming for the Greater Atlanta Labrador Retriever Club Show. The room rate has been guaranteed at $69.00/night. Reservations must be made by Feb 9 to receive blocked off room. The hotel does accept dogs. There will be a one time $10 nonrefundable pet deposit, for those who have dogs in their rooms. The Show Committee will record the name of any guest whose dog; who causes damage to a room, is left uncrated in a room preventing the cleaning staff from entering, is left unattended in a room and becomes a nuisance barker, or is disruptive in any way. This hotel s accommodations are wonderful and we do not want to risk losing them as a host hotel for future annual specialty shows. 6

NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS No Junior Showmanship Is Offered At These Shows. BREED AND SWEEPSTAKES EXHIBITORS Please note the color of your dog on your entry form. Show Hours: Grounds will be open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Saturday, February 24, 2007 and Sunday, February 25, 2007. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. Dogs may arrive any time prior to judging as stated herein. If because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the Club, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund of entry fees will be made. NO CRATES ARE PERMITTED UNDER THE MAIN TENT BY ORDER OF THE LOCAL FIRE MARSHAL. ANY EXHIBITOR WHO PLACES A CRATE UNDER THE TENT WILL BE ASKED TO REMOVE IT IMMEDIATELY. An AKC Recording Fee of $.50 and an AKC Event Service Fee of $1.50 will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial, or Tracking Test. If a dog is entered in more than one class in one of these events, the AKC Recording Fee and Service Fee is to be collected on the first entry only. (AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows, Chapter 11, Section 2). An AKC Recording Fee of $3.00 will be required for each entry in any Licensed or Member Club Rally Trial. If a dog is entered in more than one class in a Rally event, the AKC Recording Fee is to be collected on each of the entries of that dog. (AKC Rally Regulations, Chapter 1, Section 3). All Recording Fees are paid to the American Kennel Club. Telegraph, Telephone and Unsigned Entries cannot be accepted. Entries not on Official AKC entry forms and copies of entry forms without agreement & rules on the reverse side of the Official AKC entry form are NOT ACCEPTABLE. Entries received without fees will not be accepted. Acknowledgment of entries will be made as soon as practicable with tickets and/or identification cards. The person accompanying a dog must show tickets of admission & identification before the dog will be received. Should such acknowledgment not be received by exhibitor within a reasonable time, please notify the Show Superintendent. Dogs may arrive at any time prior to judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. All dogs must be removed immediately after Best in Breed Judging. No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Entry Fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of Show Committee. If because of Riots, Civil Disturbances or other acts beyond control of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made. Postdated Checks and Returned Checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Show Superintendent will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on CASH ONLY basis. No Refund for Duplicate Entries. Every effort to find all duplicate entries will be made; however, if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. Errors on Entry Blanks. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. Prizes: Trophies, Rosettes and prizes will be awarded in the ring to the person exhibiting the dog who shall be considered the owner or agent. All claims for prizes must be made in the judging ring before the completion of judging and the Superintendent or Show Chair advised of any discrepancy. Trophies and prizes left at the show site will not be mailed to exhibitors. Exhibitors Are Reminded To Keep The Show And Hotel Grounds Clean. Please put all refuse in containers on the show grounds and at the hotel. You are responsible for cleaning up after your own dogs. The club has provided buckets and pooper scoopers. Dogs are not permitted to run free on the show or hotel grounds. The Greater Atlanta Labrador Retriever Club, Inc. or their members or agents assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers or to any of their dogs or property; and further assume no responsibility for any injury to children in attendance. 11
