FREE ICE CREAM FOR CHILDREN Saturday, August 7 th 2010 at Trinity Church Gardens, 121 Ford Street, Boonville, 13309 New York. Registration: 10:00am Show starts at 11:00am 1 class is $3.00 or 4 classes for $10.00 Pre-registration: 3 classes for $6.00 or 6 classes for $9.00; additional class $1.00. Last date for pre-registration: August 1, 2010 Conditions of Entry No puppies under 4 months Dogs must have proof of up to-date vaccinations (rabies, distemper) prior to 8/07/2010) No aggressive dogs No sick dogs No females in season Dog owners are responsible for cleaning-up after their dog. Poop bags will be provided upon registration. Pooper scoopers are encouraged to be with owners at all times. All dogs must be on leash and under control at all times. Disruptive and vicious dogs will be dismissed NO EXCEPTIONS. Only dogs registered in this event will be allowed on the premises. No other animals will be allowed on the grounds. Dogs from the surrounding rescue and humane societies will also be participating free of charge wearing ADOPT ME bandanas. There will be a panel of three judges, door prizes, a silent auction on pet gifts, paintings of pets, pet clothes (for owners and pets) pet foods, and general items of interest. Refreshments will be available in the parish hall. FREE ICE CREAM FOR CHILDREN. When not competing, please keep your pet on a leash at all times. Best child* handler 12 yrs. and under ** & * In classes 2 and 3, judges are looking for dog/ handler pairs that are well turned out, well mannered and enjoying themselves. 4. Waggiest tail dog 5. Most unusual mix -- judges are looking for a cross breed/mongrel that is singular and unique 6. Dog and Handler look alike 7. Disc, tennis ball, etc., retrieving dogs and their human throwers demonstrate distance catching and choreographed freestyle catching.
8. Most Obedient dog judges are looking for dogs responsiveness to handler s commands, and for handlers and dogs that visibly enjoy working together. 9. Best Veteran (aka oldest dog). Presented to the oldest dog based on age listed on entry form/and or whoever enters the ring with the oldest dog. Oldest dog wins first place, and so on. Class will be split by weight. First Split To 45 Lbs, and Second Split to 46 lbs and over. 10. Best brace (no, this is not about orthodontics, although best doggy teeth brace would be a good one!! A brace is a matching pair so you could have two Cockers or two Labs etc.) 11. Best Mismatched brace (two or more dogs of different breeds or types so you could enter a Great Dane and a Chihuahua). 12. Shiniest Coat 13. The most unusual name 14. Dog the Judges would most like to take home 15. The saddest looking dog 16. The curliest coat 17. The teeniest dog 18. The biggest dog 19. The most untrained dog judges are looking for the free spirit who is lovable but who lives the good life to the tune of a different drummer.. 20. Best in the Show -- All blue ribbon winners compete for this ribbon and $50.00 award. FUN HAVE A GO EVENTS (pet prizes for the winners) Fastest Sausage Eater Egg and Spoon Race (with owner and dog) Best trick by dog Sack Race (dog on leash and you in sack) 7 11 legged race 2 humans tied together as per 3-legged race and either one or two dogs on leash. Musical sit (like musical bumps judge shouts sit and last dog sat gets eliminated until one left).
