It has always been the Club s Policy that the President, Show Chairman and their families do not exhibit at this show. ================================================ CATALOG POLICY Only a limited number of catalogs will be printed. To be sure you will receive a copy, prepay for your copy by including $5.00 with your entry fee. To receive your prepaid copy give your name at the catalog sales table. No catalogs will be mailed. A few catalogs will be available at the show at a cost of $6.00 each. This will be a combined catalog. Only ONE catalog need be purchased to receive both days entries. ================================================ All Awards will be made in the judging ring to the person exhibiting the dog and that person shall be considered the rightful winner of the award. NO DOGS will be allowed in the show area EXCEPT those regularly entered in the show. There will be no space for unentered dogs at this show. All dogs shall be kept on leash except while in the obedience ring. There will be no drilling, or intensive or corrective training of the dogs on the show grounds or premises. There shall be a refund of all be $5.00 of the entry fee for bitches entered in obedience, who come in season after the closing date. To be eligible for the refund, written certification by a veterinarian must be in the hands of the show secretary before judging begins. Go South on Baumhart Road to Route 511 (look for route signage to right at stop). Make right onto Rt. 511 and proceed to the event site. From I-71 South: Take I-71 North past Ashland and Exit at Rt. 301. Take Rt. 301 North to Rt. 224. Go West on Rt. 224 to Rt. 58. Go North on Rt. 58 to Oberlin. In Oberlin pick-up Rt. 511, turn left and go West to show site. From I-480 East: Take I-480 West (past airport) to Rt. 10. Follow Rt. 10 and it will merge into Rt. 20 West. Exit from Rt. 20 West at Rt. 511. Follow Rt. 511 through Oberlin to show site (5 mi from city limits). From I-90 East: Take I-90 West past Cleveland where it merges with Rt. 2. Follow Rt. 2 as it splits from I-90 in the Elyria area. Exit Rt. 2 in Amherst. Take Rt. 58 South from Amherst to Oberlin. In Oberlin pick-up Rt. 511, turn right and go west to show site. Watch speed in Oberlin.

ATTENTION EXHIBITORS ENTRIES CLOSE AT THE SUPERINTENDENT/SHOW SECRETARY'S OFFICE, by 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, July 22, 2009 after which time entries cannot be accepted, altered, canceled, or substituted. ENTRY FORM MUST BE SIGNED at the bottom by the owner or the owner's duly authorized agent, otherwise the entry cannot be accepted. Telegraph or telephone entries cannot be accepted. OVERNIGHT deliveries requiring NO signature only. Entries not on official AKC entry forms or photocopies of entry forms without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side of the official AKC Entry Form are NOT ACCEPTABLE. MAKE ALL CHECKS & money orders payable to The Irish Setter Club of Ohio, Inc. (ISCO) RETURNED CHECKS do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Trial Secretary will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check. OWNERS ARE RESPONSIBLE for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. PLEASE TYPE OR PRINT carefully, the information on entry forms to eliminate errors. A RECORDING FEE OF $.50 is to be collected on the first entry only for each dog, each day. An Event Service fee of $3.00 will be required for each regular class each dog is entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial, Rally Trial or Tracking Test. These Fees are to be collected by the show giving Club and paid to the American Kennel Club. (AKC Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2). NO ENTRY FEES will be returned if the show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, an act of God, public emergency, act of public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the management. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event the dog is absent, disqualified, excused by veterinarian or judge, or barred from the competition by action of the Show Committee. DOGS MUST BE READY FOR JUDGING. The Club or Show Secretary will not be responsible and is not obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of class judging. Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owner or agents are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring. DOGS MAY ARRIVE ANY TIME PRIOR to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. All dogs present must be held on leash in hand except when being judged. NO ENTRY SHALL BE MADE and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. NO REFUND ON DUPLICATE ENTRIES. Every effort will be made to find duplicate entries, but if an entry has been processed, no refund will be made. THE TRIAL-GIVING CLUB, THE TRIAL SECRETARY, their agents and employees, etc., assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury, sustained by exhibitors, handlers, or to any of their dogs or property, and further assume no responsibility for injury to children not under the control of their parents or guardians. WHEN THE SAME DOG IS ENTERED in more than one class, only the highest score will be used for the top awards in Trial or top awards of a breed. ALL AWARDS MUST BE CLAIMED at the Trial or they become the property of the Youngstown All Breed Training Club, Inc. None will be mailed. ALL DOGS PRESENT MUST BE HELD ON LEASH or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercise ring. All handlers are asked to clean up after their own dog. CLASS CASH PRIZES will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. CLAIMS FOR PRIZE MONEY must be made in the ring before the judging of that class is over and Show Secretary advised at once. Hunting Dog/Bitch For dogs and bitches that have achieved the ISCA VC-VCX Titles or the AKC Junior, Senior or Master Hunter Titles. Field Trial Dog/Bitch For dog and bitches that have placed in a REGULAR Stake at an AKC member or licensed Field Trial, other than puppy. Winners of these classes are eligible to compete for Best of Breed if not previously defeated in the Regular Classes. Best Bred By (Friday Only) Best in Puppy Classes (Saturday Only) BEST OF BREED COMPETITION Non-Regular Classes Involving Multiple Dog Entries

Brace Class For two dogs of the same recognized breed or variety that are similar in appearance, performing unison, and presented by a maximum of two handlers. Both dogs competing in brace competition must have at least one common owner. Stud Dog Class For Stud Dogs and two (2) of their Get. Stud Dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their Get. Owner of the Stud Dog need not be owner of the Get. Get only to be judged, based on the merits of Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require it s disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show rules. AKC policy or the standard for the Breed. Brood Bitch Class Same as Stud Dog except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get. As the judge s decision in the Stud Dog and Brood Bitch Classes will be based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible for Best of Breed by virtue of having won this class, Chapter11, Section 8 of the Dog Show Rules provides that a castrated male may be entered as Stud Dog in the Stud Dog Class and in Veteran Class and a spayed bitch may be entered as Brood Bitch in the Brood Bitch Class and Veteran Class. The following categories or dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competiton; Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which according to their owners records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirments for a championship. 3. (Dog Show Class) Consult the classification in the show s premium list. If the dog show class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e. age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner, it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name.
