Why Freedom Bay? Freedom Bay Theme Park is based on the Pilgrims and their arrival and survival in the New World starting in 1620. The Pilgrims came to America searching for religious freedom. They were supposed to be arriving near the Hudson River, but ended up in Provincetown Bay. There they built the Plymouth settlement.
This steel corkscrew roller coaster is named after the famed legend of Plymouth Rock, where the Pilgrims landed in 1620. The Rock is the longest coaster at Freedom Bay, measuring 2,677 ft. Its top speed of over 50mph and 72 ft drop accentuate the loop and corkscrew combination near Freedom Bay. EX= 5.85 High INT= 7.51 High NAU= 3.18 Medium
Fortune s Quest is named after the 2 nd ship to arrived in Plymouth, the Fortune. The ship arrived in 1621, and many of the newcomers came to the New World looking for wealth. This wooden coaster is over 2,500 feet long, travels at speeds of 50mph, screams down underground, and gives you as much air-time as you can handle! EX= 6.55 High INT= 7.63 High NAU= 4.43 Medium
Pilgrim s Pride is the mine train roller coaster named for the settlers of Plymouth, the Pilgrims. The Pilgrims were proud of their new settlement that they created. This coaster combines many tight turns and air-time with dropping underground in two different areas. Pilgrim s Pride is over 2,100 feet long and reaches speeds of 45mph. The Never-Ending 66 (3d Cinema) It took Pilgrims 66 long days to cross the Atlantic and reach the New World. The 3d Cinema recreates that arduous experience. Captain s Crunchers (Bumper Cars) Captain John Smith surveyed and named the colony years before the Pilgrims arrived and settled in the area. Stormy Weather (Drop Zone) The voyage aboard the Mayflower faced stormy weather as they crossed the Atlantic. The higher you go on the Drop Zone, the more unpredictable the weather becomes! Wrong Turn (Go Carts) The Pilgrims aboard the Mayflower were supposed to travel to the Hudson River, but poor weather forced them northward towards Cape Cod.
Higher Ground (Observation Tower) - The Pilgrims came to the New World for religious freedom and set their town on Cole s Hill and Fort Hill because it was higher ground for defense and gave them a better view. The observation tower rises over 100 feet above the park, and gives patrons a great view of Freedom Bay. The Speedwell (Swinging Ship) - The Speedwell was the smaller of the original Pilgrim ships but never made it to the New World. Twice the ship was found to be leaking, which frightened its passengers. Much like those failed voyages, The Speedwell s heights and speed will frighten its riders! Crow s Nest (Whoa Belly) This exciting ride actually shoots you up through the Mayflower monument to the top of the park! The Crow s Nest reaches speeds of 60mph and takes you to a height of 125 feet above Freedom Bay.
Cornucopia specializes in authentic food from the First Thanksgiving. Waterfowl, wild turkey, fish, deer, and corn dishes are served daily. Every Thursday kids eat free! The menu of The Cape Cod Fishing Company, or C.C. s, specializes in fish dishes. Fishing was an important industry and source of food for the Pilgrims. Deep water fish like cod, tuna, and bluefish are caught fresh off the coast. Seafood like lobsters and crabs are also popular at C.C. s!

This gift shop sells Pilgrim themed toys for children and pets. This gift shop sells many model building kits of the Mayflower.
This gift shop sells clothing and items that Pilgrims would have brought with them to the New World. Samoset was a Native American that befriended the Pilgrims. This gift shop sells items created by Native Americans of the time period.
Standish s Standoff In this video game, you are one of the ten men that Myles Standish took to try and find and execute the leader of the Narragansett tribe. Prizes are awarded for high scores. Mayflower Compact This game measures how hard you can compact the sledgehammer down and make the bell at the top ring. Knicker Box A popular game among the Pilgrim children was a marble game where the children would try and shoot a marble through the arches in a knicker box without them bouncing back. Win prizes if all three marbles do not bounce back. Blind Man s Bluff In this game several players will be playing against each other at the same time, trying to avoid being caught. Survive five minutes, and win a prize!
The 1 st Thanksgiving (Theater Performance) Actors will re-enact the 1 st Thanksgiving of 1621. Songs of the Sea (Music Performance) Several singers belt out modern versions of the old songs sang while travelling across the Atlantic.
