SPECIAL REGULATIONS & CONDITIONS OF SALE 1. The show and sale will be held subject to the Rules and Regulations of the Easy Care Sheep Society, the Conditions of Sale as recommended by the LAA and the Auctioneers Standard Conditions of Sale. 2. ALL SHEEP OFFERED FOR SALE MUST BE THE PROPERTY OF A CURRENT MEMBER OF THE SOCIETY AND CONFORM TO EASY CARE TYPE. NO WOOL - NO EVIDENCE OF SHEARING - NO HORNS 3. ALL SHEEP MUST HAVE EASY CARE PRINTED ON THE MANAGEMENT PART OF THE TAG. Your Tag Manufacturer can arrange this. If the sheep are not tagged you will be provided on site with tags and will be charged 20p per tag and you will have to tag the sheep yourself. 4. Entry is open to MAEDI-VISNA and non MAEDI-VISNA flocks. All relevant documentation must accompany all sheep. 5. Substitutes are allowed. Details of any substitutes must be lodged with the Auctioneers ONE WEEK prior to the sale. 6. All sheep are warranted by vendor as correct in mouth and udder at the time of sale. 7. Vendors are responsible for taking their sheep to the sale ring and returning them to the pens after being offered for sale. 8. All sheep must be delivered to the sale premises on either THURSDAY 28th SEPTEMBER - 2.00pm to 6.00pm FRIDAY 29th SEPTEMBER - 7.00am to 9.00am 9. Limited straw for bedding will be provided but vendors must provide their own feed stuffs/buckets etc. 10. All rams will be sold in guineas with a commission rate of 5%. All females will be sold in s with a commission of 5%. Commission will be split between auctioneers and the society. 11. All transactions either by auction or by private treaty following the sale must be passed through the Auctioneer s sale office. 12. Vendors shall have the right to place a reserve price on any, or all of their sheep. This must be notified to the Auctioneers in writing preferably before commencement of the sale, and will be treated as a reserve and not a guide. An upset price of 200gns will apply to all Rams and 150gns for all Ram lambs. The main features of the Easy Care breed: EASYCARE SHEEP Easycare are the ideal low cost meat sheep for the modern farmer. Medium sized, hornless, extremely hardy and requiring very little maintenance. Rams adult bodyweight around 75 kg Rams are particularly pre-potent and immensely virile, hardy and can cover large numbers of ewes. Ewe adult body weight around 60 kg Ewes milk well and are excellent mothers. Lambs are active and alert at birth and grow quickly. 1.8 Lambs reared per Ewe Ease of lambing - specifically developed for this purpose Vitality at birth - born with hair for protection High growth rate - Lambs reach 17 kgs carcass weight at 12 weeks High meat yield and Easycare meat is of the highest quality light in texture, fine grained, lean and with an exceptional taste.
