INDOOR/OUTDOOR SHOWS. All Sporting, Working and Herding breeds will be judged outdoors. All other breeds and Junior Showmanship will be judged indoors. Obedience and Rally will be judged indoors on matting. SHOULD CIRCUMSTANCES FORCE A CHANGE IN THESE PLANS, WE ASK YOUR INDULGENCE. IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION PARKING IS A PRIVILEGE EXTENDED BY THE WENATCHEE KENNEL CLUB, INC. The club reserves the right to withdraw this privilege from any person(s) who resorts to abusive language or does not abide by the rules and decisions of the club, parking contractor, show superintendent or Expo Center staff. All parking is at your own risk. The club, parking contractor, show superintendent and Expo Center assume no responsibility for fire, theft and/or damage to any vehicle its occupants or cargo. There is no charge for day parking at this show. No Parking in designated fire lanes or loading/unloading zones. No RV parking in day parking lots. One day parking spot per vehicle. Offenders will be asked to move by the parking contractor. Oversize vehicles will be asked to move to alternative parking areas. Handicapped parking will be designated. Handicapped parking does not mean near rings, only a readily accessible surface and space. Valid handicap permit required. OVERNIGHT RV PARKING WKC has contracted with Boy Scout Troop 89 to assist with parking. RV spots will be assigned to best accommodate the fixed size of the RV spots/hook-ups and the size of RV and ask your indulgence in this process. All decisions of WKC and the Boy Scout troop are final. Extra vehicles may be assigned to an overflow area to maintain fire lanes. Overnight parking will be available at noon, Thursday, October 19, 2017. Gates will close at 11 pm Friday and Saturday. Everyone is expected to leave their parking area clean. Absolutely no dumping of grey water or sewage on the ground. Any violators will be assessed a $250 cleanup charge and the vehicle impounded until the fees are paid in full. Vehicle owner is responsible for any towing and/or impound fees. OVERNIGHT RV PARKING WITHOUT RESERVATION: $50.00 CASH PER NIGHT EXTRA VEHICLE: $10.00 Parking fees are payable in U.S. Funds only. One sleeping unit per reserved space. No dogs that are disqualified for aggression will be allowed to enter these shows, nor be allowed on the grounds. In addition, no aggression reinstatement procedures will be performed at these shows. JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP: Jr. Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition present after the closing of entries for a show may transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class provided that this transfer is made by the Superintendent at least one-half hour prior to the scheduled start of Junior Showmanship judging at the show. Correction may be made from one age division to another, provided this transfer must be made to the Superintendent at least one half-hour prior to the judging of any Junior Showmanship class at the show. OBEDIENCE OR RALLY: A dog who has earned a title after entries have closed may be moved to another class, provided the transfer request is presented to the Superintendent at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the trial. Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Superintendent/Show Secretary will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class Judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. Only dogs eligible for these shows will be admitted into the show area. There is no provision for unentered dogs. The welfare of an Exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. PEE WEE CLASS SPECIAL ATTRACTION NO ENTRY FEE ENTRY LIMIT: 15 SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2017 HELD IN RING 4 FOLLOWING BEGINNER PUPPY The Pee Wee Special Attraction is a pre-junior Showmanship class. The Pee Wee class is geared toward children 5-9 years of age. Safety is a primary concern. Each Pee Wee unit consists of the child, his/her parent/ guardian/responsible adult, and the dog. Only one Pee Wee unit is in the ring at a time. This is not a competitive class, but rather a fun, learning experience for the child and the adult. A dog must be at least four months of age to enter the Pee Wee class. Bitches in season will not be allowed to participate. If preentered, a dog may be substituted that meets the eligibility requirements as specified by the club. All dogs entered must have the proper lead and collar. A responsible adult must be present with the child both inside and outside the ring. The adult is to maintain control of the dog outside of the ring. The safety of both the dogs and Juniors inside and outside the ring is a primary concern. Outside of the ring, the dog is to be controlled by the adult accompanying the child. An additional lead, provided by the Club, will be at the Judge s table. At the Judge s discretion based upon the size of the child and the dog, for safety purposes the adult may be asked to attach a second lead to the dog so both child and adult will walk the dog together. REGISTRATION WILL BE TAKEN AT THE CLUB TABLE SATURDAY MORNING, STARTING AT. EACH ENTRANT WILL BE REQUIRED TO FILL OUT AN ENTRY FORM. AKC SANCTIONED 4-6 MONTHS PUPPY SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2017 Judge Pat Putman: Best Puppy - Sporting, Hound, Working, Terrier, Toy, Non-Sporting, Herding, Miscellaneous, FSS, Best Beginner Puppy in Show. The Four-to-Six Month Puppy competition shall be for dogs that are four months of age and over but under six months on the day of the event. All entrants are to be vaccinated (including rabies) in accordance with their veterinarian s protocol. Dogs that are owned or co-owned by a professional handler may compete in this class, but must be handled by a nonprofessional handler. Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay within the last five years. Dogs may not be exhibited by current assistants and household members of a professional handler.
