Due to continued ill-health, I find myself unable to continue to race my pigeons & so have taken the hard decision to offer my entire loft of birds for sale. All pigeons for sale are winners or bred from winners & should prove an advantageous addition to any race loft seeking quality birds of performed merit. I was a small team flyer who achieved many good results in an out of position location & as such am justifiably proud of what my pigeons were able to accomplish under my management & I wish all potential purchasers the same satisfaction as I have experienced from their purchases. With a base of the good old South Australian bloodlines, I was able to successfully introduce quality pigeons from Richard Clingan with excellent results his wonderful Marilyn Janssens immediately value-added in significant degree to the successes I have achieved since their introduction. A number of excellent results have been recorded by flyers to whom I have lend birds to breed from on occasion, amongst these being K Roberts, G Allen, G Harris & T Steed to name a few. It would have been great to continue in the Sport however, for the immediate future at least, this is out of the question.accordingly I offer now for sale by auction my complete loft of birds and again, wish all purchasers much success & enjoyment from their acquisitions. Michael Nicholson Recommendation from Gavin Harris (SAHPA Management Committee Member) I have been a friend of Mike s for many years now and I have a great respect for him as a pigeon flyer and as a man. Mike had a bone marrow transplant on Wednesday 10 th November and we wish him all the best with his recovery. Mike is a 5 th dan Black Belt Master in Tae Kwon Do (also a 3 rd dan in Karate) and has his own series of clubs and was still body building and taking classes right up to the night before he went back into hospital this week. As Fred Smith commented to me, he is the only person in the cancer ward who had an exercise bike set up next to his bed. His son competes all around the world and is ranked in the top 10 in the world in his weight division at Tae Kwon Do. Mike has not raced much over the last few seasons, but the last full season he raced back in 2006 was very successful. He won the Southern Vales club aggregate points against 20 odd flyers including winning the East Derby and only missed winning the SA Racing Pigeon Federation (SARPF) aggregate points by one point. In 2005 he gained 27 th in SAHPA Aggregate points as well. Mike races a small team of pigeons from a well designed loft at Seaford. In a relatively short amount of time in the sport he assembled an excellent family of pigeons which perform in all conditions. At whatever Mike turns his hand to he really applies himself and I certainly rate his ability as a pigeon fancier very high. I have no hesitation recommending these birds to any potential buyers. 2
