SWCCC 22.09.2012 MRS SYLVIA ROSE 1 SOUTH WESTERN COUNTIES CAT CLUB 22 nd September 2012. MRS SYLVIA ROSE I was delighted to be invited to judge at this show which always holds special memories for me. Congratulations on celebrating your diamond anniversary. Many thanks Susan and Lesley and your team for the invitation and for all the extra touches which made it a special day, the cake was delicious and so welcome at the end of the day. Thank you too Lorraine (Cooke) for stewarding for me so capably and kindly. I m glad you had some lovely cats and kittens to enjoy. IMPERIAL. AC GR CH BURMESE ADULT Male 1 entered. Imp n/a. MARRIOT-POWER & MARRIOT S GR CH MAINMAN QUINTESSENCE (27f) 3 years 1 week. A charming boy with a youthful appearance. Short in the wedge shaped head, a little fine in the muzzle, slight pinch defining whisker pads, modest jowls. Top of head is gently rounded, largish ears placed wide and tilting forward. Eyes, not quite large enough, today looking rather oval in shape, green chartreuse, I would have preferred more contrast between the upper and lower lines. Good depth to the skull in profile with definite nose break, level chin which could be a touch deeper. Medium/large, trim and muscular body, a little sunken in the flanks, strong, elegant legs with medium, oval paws, tail a little short for balance. Beautiful short and soft coat shown in pristine condition a mid cream, I could only find the desired bloom on the top of the head and ears. Superb temperament, this boy rolled round his pen, kneading and roaring with purr. I was so sorry not to give the Imp but felt that the eye size and shape in a Burmese precluded this high award. Female. 3 entered. 1 IMP DEW S GR CH KATCHYN CHOCOLATEORANGE (27h) 2 years 6 months 1 week. Lovely head both in the front view and in profile, short in the blunt, wide wedge with broad, rounded dome between medium, broad based ears set to continue the lines of the face, round tipped. Chartreuse green eyes, large and spaced well apart with the nearly straight upper line and fullness in the lower line, full of expression. Profile too is pleasing with generous depth in the skull, definite nose break, deep, straight chin. Body heavy and muscled, a little on the plump side but retaining her elegance, slender legs with small, oval paws, tail just a little short but showing correct thickness and slight taper towards the tip. Coat fairly short, soft, well prepared, a mingling of mainly dark brown with some pale red. A delightfully grumpy expression on this lady but she knew how to behave! RES IMP
SWCCC 22.09.2012 MRS SYLVIA ROSE 2 HILLMAN S GR CH TOSCANA CLEMENTINE (27h) 3 years 5 months. Short, blunt and wide in the wedge, could be a touch broader at the jaw hinge for perfection, gently curving dome, round tipped ears placed wide and continuing the lines of the head. Lovely surly expression in the large, chartreuse yellow, widely set eyes. Profile shows deep head, well defined nose break, level chin just deep enough. Well muscled, heavy body just a little plump, slender legs, small, dainty paws, tail of correct shape and thickness, slightly short. Well presented, short, soft and close lying coat giving a warm impression of some largish patches of warm, milk chocolate, dappled with pale red. ASIAN TABBY (spotted, classic, mackerel or ticked) ADULT. Female. 1 entered. 1 CC BOB WILLIAMS & PALLETT S CHAMORE CAN TBUYTHYME (72 45bs) 1 year 1 day. A shy girl happier in her pen than on the trolley. Fairly short and fairly broad wedge shape to the head, dome just showing a little curve, large ears continue the outer lines of the face and tilt forwards. Lovely expressive, bright yellow eyes placed well apart and showing the desired shape. In profile, I would have liked more depth in the skull and in the level chin, well defined nose break. Well grown body which needs to put on some weight now, looking a little hollow on the flanks, slender legs, small oval paws, tail just short for balance. Good, soft feel to the short, close lying coat, sparkling silver undercoat well up the hair shaft and on the underparts, the dark chocolate, full expression ticking minimal so appearing rather like shading, very dark spine line continues down the tail, some bars on all legs. This girl did relax as she was handled. TONKINESE ADULT Male. 1 entered. 1 CC B0B DURDEN S SHINARHA SPIDERFROMMARS (74d) 1 year 1 week. Good proportionts to the head, slightly long and narrow in the muzzle, whisker pads defined by minimal break. Medium/large, broad based ears tilt forward, placed equally on the sides and top of the head. Beautifully expressive, large, almond shaped eyes showing both blue and green depending on which direction he was facing. Profile shows a gentle dip in the nose, level chin just deep enough. Fairly long, heavy and muscular body, long, slender legs, medium, oval feet, tail length balances. Bright red coat, some tabby markings on head and legs, faint tail rings; darker spine line, shading to darker tone on the mask and tail; very short, very soft and presented in superb condition. Female. 1 entered plus 1 for BOB. 1 CC TAMLIN S SHINARHA TAMTONKS MARTHA (74b) 1 year 1 week. Litter sister to the above. Head has correct proportions, just a little fine in the muzzle at present, gently rounded top, whisker pinch. Ears rather large, well opened at the base, rounded tips and following the lines of the face. Eyes quite pale in today s light though showing hints of both blue and green, large and well shaped. Profile shows a slight nose
SWCCC 22.09.2012 MRS SYLVIA ROSE 3 break, level bite, fairly firm chin. Medium sized body with good muscle and fair weight, slim legs, small, oval paws, gently tapering tail of suitable length for balance. Superb short and soft, close lying coat, very pale and creamy on the body, considerably darker on the points, at this stage not showing the desired gradual change of tone. DEVON REX KITTEN Female. 1 entered. 1 (BOB n/a) FOWLER S LAVENDER SKY (33a 31a) 3 months 1 week. A sweet babe at her first show! Head has a short wedge, broad at the muzzle, high cheek bones, the top of the head narrows making the ears rather close together, flat top of head. Ears are very large with well opened base. Large, oval eyes set on a slight slant towards the ear base. Short nose, I would have liked a more defined stop. Slender neck leads to a hard body with the feeling of muscle developing, slim, medium length legs, small, oval paws, long, fine and tapering tail. Coat is very soft, almost too short to rex though showing waving on neck, shoulders and tail. Whiskers and eye-brows crinkled. ASIAN (TIFFANIE) KITTEN. Male 2 entered, both pleasing boys. 1 BOB FINCH S TEIGNAGE SIRIUS BLACK (68 42) 5 months 1 week 1 day. Well balanced, short wedge, wide at the cheek bones, gently curved over the top, large, tufted ears follow the outward facial lines, tilting forward. Large eyes on a slight slant with fullness in the lower line, widely placed, a very deep, golden yellow. Good depth in the profile, fair nose break on a nose rolling off just a touch. Body is heavy and well muscled, legs just a little thick, medium paws, tail of good proportions for balance. Coat is soft with a good flowing appearance, moderate in length, silver undercoat being about ½ of the length of the hair, silvery speckling on the face and forehead, eye liner and silver spectacles. 2 AGUS CLARENLIS CHINATREE EROS (62 43asq) 5 months 1 week 5 days. Another attractive Tiffanie with a relaxed temperament. Wedge shaped head is short, broad in the muzzle and at the jaw hinge, rounded dome between medium, tufted ears placed well apart. Large, golden yellow eyes show correct large size and shape, placed well apart. Generous depth to the head in profile, adequate nose break, deep chin slightly set back. Firm feel to the well grown body, legs just a little thick, paws small and oval. Tail length balances. Coat is soft, flowing down the body, good length for this age, sparkling silver undercoat with light, Burmese expression blue tipping. Dark eye-liner and pale spectacles, M on forehead, some leg bars. BENGAL BROWN SPOTTED KITTEN FEMALE. 2 entered. 1 BOB WATERSON S ADZWOSH SHOBROOK CLEO 4 months 2 weeks. A pleasing kitten, fairly broad wedge just a little longer than its breadth with rounded lines. Medium sized ears set equally between the sides and top of head, broad base, large, oval, gold eyes. Nose fairly
SWCCC 22.09.2012 MRS SYLVIA ROSE 4 broad with slightly puffed nose leather, gentle dip in profile; firm, full muzzle, strong chin. The features give an impression of wildness. Body is long and already looking sleek, just heavy enough for her age, well muscled. Long, strong legs, medium, rounded paws, long tail. Very soft, short coat showing both warmth and contrast, a gold, well golddusted ground colour with varying shades of deeper gold and rich, light brown pattern. Medium sized spots some showing the arrow head shape, some together forming a rosette on the body sides, good definition. Lovely girl with a calm temperament. 2 DUNN S MANIFESTO TINKERBELLE (4 months 3 weeks). The most entertaining, energetic, lively girl, doing cartwheels all round her pen! She gave an immediate impression of wildness both in her features and her pattern. Head a little longer than its width, rounded contours, medium sized ears just a little higher than I would like (this could be because she did not relax for a second), fairly broad based and rounded at the tips. Large, round, green eyes, fairly broad nose, whisker pads showing the beginning of fullness, strong chin. Very strong, sinuous body with a muscled feel, long and sleek with long, slim legs, long tail. Short coat with a beautiful soft feel, showing contrast between the grey base colour and the black spots but lacking warmth. Pattern shows clear definition, many small spots some forming rosettes, specially clear on right side and on shoulders. Spotted tum. M on head with lines going up and over to continue down the spine line and onto the tail. Also spots between the facial lines, legs show very clear leg marks with spots between. I very much liked this kitten s type, temperament and pattern, a charmer! ASIAN SMOKE or BURMILLA NEUTER MALE. 1 entered. 1 ALLEN S ADATESH SILVERY MIST (72 bsq) 4 years 7 months 2 weeks. Strongly masculine head viewed from the front, broad, short wedge, gently rounded over the top between medium ears which continue the outer lines of the face. Good set, shape and size to the pale yellow eyes. Profile shows an adequate nose break on a nose with a slight bump, level, shallow chin. Large, heavy and firmly muscled body, slender legs, medium, oval feet. Tail short to balance with a pip at the tip. Fairly soft and short coat, a warm, Burmese expression, pale chocolate with silver base coat. M on forehead and facial marks darker. I was sorry to with hold the PC and BOB on this calm, friendly boy but the tail pip precluded this. BENGAL SNOW SPOTTED NEUTER MALE. 1 entered for BOB. BOB STUBBS PR KATZKALA TABU 1 year 2 months 1 week. Rounded, wedge shaped head, broad nose with puffed nose leather, profile shows a slight dip in the nose line. I would have preferred more fullness in the muzzle and whisker pads though chin appears strong, quite large ears held just a little high today. Oval, pale green eyes of good
SWCCC 22.09.2012 MRS SYLVIA ROSE 5 shape, size and placement. Long body which he was holding low, medium length, strong legs with rounded, large feet, thick tail of length to balance with rounded tip. Short coat lacking in density and not quite as soft as I would like in a Bengal, fairly well defined, randomly placed spots, some round, some arrow head shape, on a warm cream ground, light brown spotting, darker brown on facial and leg markings. Tail very dark charcoal towards the rounded tip with 3 incomplete rings. BROWN BURMESE ADULT MALE 1 entered. 1 VIRTUE S HOBBERDY HIS-NIBS 10 months 3 weeks. A friendly boy having a lot of fun re-designing his litter tray. Moderate length and width to the wedge shaped head, just rounded over the dome between medium, round tipped ears which continue the lines of the face and tilt forward. Lovely golden tone to the eyes, full lower line with straight upper line, at this stage appearing not quite large enough, placed wide. Profile shows an adequate nose break on a nose rolling off just a little at the tip. Firmly muscled body of good size and weight for his age, slender, elegant legs with neat, oval paws, tail length and thickness balance. Short coat is close lying and glossy, a warm brown, the colour well down towards the roots. I was sorry not to award the CC but today felt that the size of this boy s eyes precluded this award. FEMALE. 1 entered for BOB. BOB GRANTHAM S CH GREENPARK NORTY NUTMEG 3 years 5 months 2 weeks. Lady with attitude and a delight to handle. Superb head shape, ears and 2 tone green chartreuse eyes showing correct size, shape and set. In profile, fair nose break, deep chin set back just a little. Heavy and well muscled body just slightly plump though retaining her elegance. Tail just long enough, slender legs with small, oval paws. Warm tone to the short and soft, seal brown coat presented superbly. My congratulations on being selected BOV Burmese adult. CHOCOLATE ADULT. 1 entered for BOB. BOB GRANTHAM S CH GREENPARK LUCIONE 1 year 3 months 3 weeks. Daughter of the previous cat and I find my notes on her are very similar. Short wedge, broad at the jaw hinge, fairly broad in the muzzle though a little more width her would be ideal. Wide over the gently rounded top of head, medium ears set to continue the lines of the face, round tipped and facing forward. Lovely shape to the large, expressive eyes, an almost horizontal, straight upper line, full lower line, yellowish green inside a pale green chartreuse outer rim. In profile, rounded brow, fair depth in the skull, sufficient nose break, level, slightly shallow chin. Heavy and well muscled body with proportionate legs, oval tipped tail just long enough. Short, close lying coat feeling very soft, a generally warm, milky chocolate tone, cooler, darker on tail and mask. A pleasing youngster, calm and friendly.
SWCCC 22.09.2012 MRS SYLVIA ROSE 6 AOC TORTIE ADULT 1 entered plus 3 superb ladies for BOB. 1 CC HILLMAN S TOSCANA LUCILLE (27h) 1 year 1 week. Very short, very wide over the dome, at the jaw hinge and in the muzzle. Medium ears set wide to follow the lines. Large, golden yellow eyes widely placed and set on a slight slant. In profile, fair nose break on a nose rolling off just a little at the tip. Feminine, dainty looking body of moderate size and weight with firm muscle; slender legs with small, oval paws. Tail a little short which makes it appear slightly thick. Soft and short coat with a close, smooth lie, an overall subtle, pale impression of mostly pale, warm chocolate with mottled, pale red. This girl was responsive to being handled and appeared to be enjoying her day. BOB DEW S GR CH KATCHYN CHOCOLATEORANGE, my Imperial choice. I also judged and was impressed with SENTANCE S CH TOSCANA AMY DEAREST. AOC TORTIE KITTEN. 1 entered. 1 SENTENCE S BEAUGEM MAYFLOWER (27j) 5 months 1 week. A pretty girl with blunt, short and wide, wedge shaped head, ears largish, held a little high possibly because she was very curious, Green chartreuse, large eyes in which I would have liked to see a little more contrast between the shape of the upper and the lower lines. Profile shows generous depth in the skull, satisfactory nose break, level, deep chin. Body feels firm and heavy enough, medium in size, legs and tail in proportion to balance. Soft coat, still showing the longer kitten length, a bright mingling of colour.
