Show Rules & Regulations and Instructions to Exhibitors 1. The Show will be held under the rules of the Irish Kennel Club Limited. 2. The Show will be held at The National Show Centre, Cloghran, Co. Dublin on Sunday 17th June, 2018. Judging will commence at 10.00 a.m. 3. No claim will be considered in the event of an exhibit being late for its class. No persons will be allowed into the judging ring except the Judge, Show Officials, or an Exhibitor taking a dog in for adjudication. The exhibit number of each dog must be clearly displayed by its handler. 4. In the event of any appointed Judge failing to keep his/her appointment, the Committee reserve the right to appoint another Judge or Judges. 5. The Committee reserve the right to alter the proposed order of judging if this should become necessary. 6. Entry Fees: First dog, 22.00 Eur/Stg Each subsequent dog: 8.00 Eur/Stg Stakes Classes 8.00 Eur/Stg Any number of dogs in same ownership in regular breed classes only for 40 Eur/Stg 7. Postal entries will be received up to and including Monday 21 st May, 2018. The Committee reserve the right to reject any entry, advert or other insertion in the Catalogue. 9. Ineligible Entries. An transfer of an incorrect entry as to the sex or breed is allowed if reported to the Secretary s Office prior to commencement of judging. A dog entered in a class for which it is not eligible may be transferred to the Open Class in that breed, but in no other respects. 10. Registrations: All dogs entered for competition at this show must be registered at the IKC Ltd., Unit 36, Greenmount Office Park, Harold s Cross, Dublin 6. 11. A Judge will be empowered to withhold any prizes of Green Stars if, in his or her opinion, the exhibits are not of sufficient merit. 12. The Catalogue will be 4.00 Prepaid ONLY. No catalogues available for purchase on the day. 13. Car Park is 5.00 payable on the day only. 14. The Catalogue will be compiled from the entry forms and while every effort will be made to have the forms correctly interpreted, the Committee cannot accept any responsibility for mistakes, which may bring exhibitors within the purview of the IKC Ltd., Rule 15, Section 1, or for clerical errors that may occur during compilation. 15. The Promoting Body will not be responsible for any loss or damage sustained through accident by exhibits, exhibitors, or other persons attending the Show. 16. The Promoting Body shall be the Show Committee and all disputes shall be dealt with by the Show Committee. Parties to any dispute shall have the right to appeal Note: Addition to IKC Rule 7, Section 1 Re: registration of dogs entered Failure to comply with the above will result in: (A) The Dog being disqualified from the event, and (B) The Exhibitor being find Euro 130. CLASS DEFINITIONS (the word dog denotes both sexes) In the following definitions any award which counts towards the title of Champion under the rules of any Governing body recognised by the Irish Kennel Club will be regarded as the equivalent of a Green Star. Similarly, the title of Champion is continued as if it were attained under the rules of the Irish Kennel Club. A Baby Puppy Class is confined to dogs of 4 and under 6 months of age on the day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth. A Puppy Class is confined to dogs of 6 months and under 12 months of age on the day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth. A Junior Class is confined to dogs of 9 months and under 18 months of age on the day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth. A Intermediate Class is confined to dogs of 15 months and under 24 months of age on the day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth. An Adult Class is confined to dogs over 24 months and under 36 months of age on the day of the show computed from and inclusive of the date of it s birth. An Open Class is confined to dogs over 15 months on the day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of it s birth. A Champion Class is open to dogs which have been awarded a Champion title recognised by the Irish Kennel Club. The dog must be confirmed a Champion by the closing date of entry for the show. A Veteran Class is for all dogs of not less than 8 years of age on the day of the Show.
