Physical State: gel Routes of exposure: Ingestion, skin contact, eye contact. Immediate effects: Skin: May be minimally irritating following prolonged direct contact. Avoid contact with skin and clothing. Ingestion: May be harmful if swallowed. Do not take internally.

ISSUE 01 PAGE 02 OF 06 SEPTEMBER 2013 4 FIRST AID MEASURES General: When possible, have the product container or label with you when calling a poison control center or doctor or going for treatment. Eye: Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15 20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 15 minutes, and then continue rinsing eyes. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists. Skin: Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water. If symptoms persist, call a physician. Inhalation: Due to the nature of this product inhalation is unlikely. Ingestion: If swallowed immediately contact a doctor or Poisons Center and follow the advice given. Keep under medical supervision. Symptoms observed in the few cases of human poisoning in literature include nausea vomiting, profuse sweating, drowsiness, agitation, coma and seizures (severe cases). From animal experiments, hyperactivity, irritability and tremors can be expected. Do not induce vomiting Notes to physician: Fipronil is an insecticide inhibiting GABAₐ-gated chloride channels. A high affinity for insect compared to mammalian (also human) GABA receptors results in lower animal toxicity than other insecticides inhibiting the same mechanism. There isn t antidote. Symptomatic Treatment 5 FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES Extinguishing media: Carbon dioxide, dry agent, water spray, foam. Hazard for combustion products: In the event of fire, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, sulphur oxides, hydrogen chloride and hydrogen fluoride may be released. Precautions for fire fighters: Fire fighters should wear full protective gear including self-contained breathing apparatus. Keep unnecessary people away and move other personnel to windward side of fire. Bund area with sand or earth to prevent contamination of drains or waterways. Dispose of fire control water or other extinguishing agent and spillage safely later. 6 ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Personal precautions: Keep unauthorized people away. Isolate hazard area. Avoid contact with spilled product or contaminated surfaces.

Clean contaminated floors and objects thoroughly, observing environmental regulations. Additional advice: Use personal protective equipment. Do not allow to enter soil, waterways or waste water canal. 7 HANDLING AND STORAGE Handling: Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes, clothing and skin. After handling and before eating, drinking or smoking, wash hands, arms and face thoroughly with soap and water. Storage: Store in closed original container in a cool, well ventilated, locked place out reach of children. Do not store in direct sunlight. Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs. 8 EXPOSURE CONTROLS (PERSONAL PROTECTION) General Protection: There are no known hazards associated with this product when used according to the label directions. The following guidelines should be followed. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Follow all label instructions. Exposure limits: Fipronil OES 0.035 mg/m³ Personal protective Equipment: Eyes: Not normally required. Avoid touching eyes while handling product. Clothing: Avoid skin contact. Gloves: Avoid contact with skin; wear waterproof gloves. Respiratory: Not required Hygiene measures: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. 9 PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES ph: 6.0 7.0 (Determined at 1% suspension in water). Flash point: Not flammable. Density: 0,95 1,15 g/cm 3

Incompatibility: strong acid, bases and oxidizing agents. Decomposition products: carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, sulphur oxides, hydrogen chloride and hydrogen fluoride may be released. Conditions to avoid: Extreme heat and fire. 11 TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION Acute Oral Toxicity rat LD50: > 5,000 mg/kg. Acute Dermal Toxicity: rat LD50: > 2,000 mg/kg. Acute Inhalation Toxicity: rat LC50: > 2.9 mg/l Exposure time: 4 h. Skin Irritation: rabbit: slight irritation. Eye irritation: rabbit: no eye irritation. Sensitization: guinea pig: non-sensitizing. Chronic Toxicity: Fipronil cause liver, kidney or thyroid effects and/or neurobehavioral effects in chronic toxicity studies in rats and dogs. Fipronil do not induce ant microscopic lesions in the neutral tissues. Assessment carcinogenicity: Fipronil is not considered to pose an increased risk of cancer to humans. Similar studies in mice and dogs did not show and increased incidence of thyroid tumors. Reproductive and Developmental Toxicity: Fipronil was not considered a primary reproductive toxicant in rats. Fipronil was not a developmental toxicant in rats and rabbits. Mutagenicity: Fipronil was not mutagenic and not teratogenic. 12 ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION Harmful to aquatic life. DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers, waterways with the chemical or used containers.
