Product Specifications The ideal choice for demanding commercial and residential applications, Metropolitan Quarry Tile is an extremely durable unglazed ceramic quarry tile. Produced using state-of-the-art equipment, Metropolitan Quarry products have a low absorption, are slip, impact and abrasion resistant and can be used in both interior and exterior applications, in virtually any climate. With a color palette consisting of natural earth tones and a through-body color that will not scratch or wear off, Metropolitan Quarry products are engineered with durability and lasting value in mind. We are pleased to offer a stocking program of the following Metropolitan Quarry products. Colors QuarryBasics are available in Chestnut Brown (108), Mayflower Red (310) and Puritan Gray (507) QuarryBasics Abrasive is available in Mayflower Red Abrasive (31A) QuarryBasics X-Color is available in Commercial Red (31X) Dura-Quarry (308) Textures and Finishes Chestnut Brown, Mayflower Red and Puritan Gray are unglazed ceramic quarry tiles. Mayflower Red Abrasive is a true abrasive with a silicon carbide additive embedded throughout the surface of each tile. Commercial Red features a metallic additive dispersed throughout the body of the tile for added slip resistance. Dura-Quarry is an un-flashed quarry product with 50% pre-consumer recycled content. Due to the high recycled content there will be slight variations in color and texture from run to run. Some slight, random speckling may also be apparent. Product Specifications Certification Green Squared is North America s first sustainable product program written exclusively for tiles and tile installation material. Green Squared involves the sustainability product standard ANSI A138.1 and the third party certification to that standard. Several Metropolitan Quarry tile products have gone through the certification process with SCS Scientific Certification Systems - and have been Green Squared Certified. The G 2 logo will indicate certified products. Shade Variation All colors have a shade variation of V1. V1 V2 V3 V4 V1 = Uniform Appearance V2 = Slight Variation V3 = Moderate Variation V4 = Substantial Variation Differences among pieces from the same production run are minimal. Clearly distinguishable texture and/or pattern within similar colors. While the colors present on a single piece of tile will be indicative of the colors to be expected on the other tiles, the amount of colors on each piece may vary significantly. Random color differences from tile to tile, so one may have totally different colors from those on other tiles.
