She will be greatly missed for her caring nature and her incredible sense of humor. I attended her memorial this week along with her many friends and about 18 of our club members. There were many interesting stories told of Linda s humor, determination, and love of her dogs. I am hoping to have an article about Linda in the next issue with the help of Dave and Connie Bissonette. One item of interest I came away with today was Linda s love of sunflowers and a quote Whenever you see a sunflower, think of me. Linda Fisher We survived our specialty show/futurity weekend and I bet we made a good profit. The weather was great, the food, fantastic, and the camaraderie excellent. Of course now we need to look for a show chair and secretary for next year and get the ball rolling once again. So run to your nearest board member and toss your hat into the ring! There are so many people to thank for our successful show, Verna, of course and Virginia, Eileen, Laurie Schray and the food committee, Ann Jeddeloh, and Ann Halling, Mary Bente, all the stewards, Connie Karner, Rachael Burggraaf Laurie and Terry Berg, Mike Metz on the grounds committee, Paul Johnson, Sheila Metz for the raffles, Kelly and Linda Salava for the Saturday night festivities, Roger Salava, and a cast of thousands. I am sure Verna will write something up that will include the people I have temporarily forgotten. Please note that Kathy DuVall has recieved an award for her rescue. See more about it on page 11. The best for last let s offer our congratulations to Mada and Bob Skare on the arrival of their baby Katie. They are having an open house at Holly Bryan s home on July 23. They don t have to have a dog, they can just come and watch and learn. The flyer will be out soon. We will also have Grete from Total Recall there to tell us about Therapy dog training, testing and work. This is a fun event, which of course means we will have food!
