1. PREVENTION OF INTRODUCTION OF DISEASE ONTO GROUNDS A. BIO-SECURITY RULES All Hrses/Livestck entering grunds must be frm a prperty actively practising gd Bisecurity principles within their management. N Hrses with signs f illness are t be brught n the grunds. A Hrse Health Declaratin will accmpany all hrses entering the grunds. Entry will be refused until the declaratin is handed t fficials at pint f entry. There is ne entry pint and ne exit. A Venue/Site Map will accmpany Plan Events incrprating ther livestck eg cattle, shuld cmplete a Bisecurity Plan fr that species as well. B. EVENT BIOSECURITY MANAGER :- Ph. PREVENTION OF SPREAD OF DISEASE ON GROUNDS A. PEOPLE Peple shuld minimise (as much as practical) cntact with hrses; in particular ther peple s hrses. Hrse carers shuld restrict public access t their hrses as much as practical. Disinfectant will be made available at a prescribed area; near the tilet shwer/hrse wash area. Hrse handlers are urged t use disinfectant when washing hands n a regular basis. A PPE KIT with mask, glves, veralls & gggles will be held n grunds. Page 3 f 5

Immediate steps are t be taken t reduce risk f expsure t yurself and thers (PPE), prmte persnal hygiene and apprpriate decntaminatin. Veterinarian t allcate exit/entry t islatin area and set up decntaminatin zne. Event Bisecurity Manager in cnsultatin with veterinarian t identify at-risk hrses (hrses that were transprted tgether with suspect hrse, hused tgether fr 6 days with suspect hrse prir t transprt, r stabled adjacent t suspect hrse at the event). These hrses are t be islated frm ther hrses in islatin stables. At risk hrses t return t wner s prperty and be islated frm ther animals pending sample results frm suspect case. Event Bisecurity Manager with veterinarian t decide whether event prceeds and enfrce designated islatin prtcl. (Decisin made n a case by case). In cnsultatin with Bisecurity Queensland, the hrse is returned t the wners prperty r remains in islatin n site r is referred t an apprpriate Equine Clinic fr further islatin and treatment. Sampling f the suspect hrse t be perfrmed at the discretin f the fficial veterinarian with the equipment supplied in the bisecurity bx (1 x EDTA bld tube, 1x plain bld tube, 1 x 10ml Lith/hep tube, 1 x ral swab, 1 x nasal swab, 1 x rectal swab, +/- urine swab). Event Bisecurity Manager need t be aware f the lcal Bi-hazard strage and dispsal prcedures. Cntact lcal gvernment authrities fr guidelines.
