THE ARTICLE New mammal species found BNE: A wildlife expert in Laos has found a new species of animal a rodent. It was found in a very strange place. Conservationist Dr Robert Timmins was walking through a food market when he found the new animal. It was being grilled in a food stall, ready to be served as a snack. It has short legs, long whiskers and a tail covered in thick hair. It is vegetarian and is active at night.
