PAWPRINT PRESS Our motto- Save one, save two. By adopting one shelter animal, you open up a cage for another animal to come in, be safe, and find a home. Volume 8 Fall 2015 Have you seen it? On the first Sunday of every month, one of the animals at the Cranston Animal Shelter is featured in the Providence Journal, who generously agreed to help our residents to find their forever homes. Roxy, Snow & Midnight, and Knight are all in happy homes now because of the publicity these animals get! Keep your eyes open; your next pet may find you! Featured Pet ~Finn~ Finn was very shy when he first arrived at the Cranston Animal Shelter. Now, shy is not the word to describe Finn! He is so social that he reaches his paw out of his cage as far as he can to get attention. Finn has really come around, and is ready for his family to adopt him today! Come adopt me, please.

Some of The Animals Available at the Cranston Animal Shelter Shar In this picture, I am reaching for a toy. So as you can see, I love to play! I only use my claws on the toy, and NEVER on people. I am a very sweet one-year-old tabby that loves to be held and cuddled. Will you be the one who cuddles with me? Sadie Sadie is a very sweet dog. She is already housebroken, takes treats gently, and knows how to sit! She is medium sized but has a BIG heart and a lot of love to give. Would you return Sadie s love? Moe I am very afraid. All the other shelter dogs bark around me, and I feel like I have no place to be. I am a 4-year-old Corgi mix. I was relinquished because my owner said that I was bullying his other dog and cat, but I am good with older children. My wish is to be loved once more, and I promise I will love you too. Please love me. Nara I am one of the sweetest cats at the Cranston Animal Shelter. I love to get brushed, and am a lap cat. Although I am 8 years old, I have many more years to live and love. Does your lap have room for me?
Chestnut Chestnut is a great cat. He is very friendly and likes to be held and loved. His is still young, only 2 years old, and loves to play. He has also discovered his motor and spends most of his day purring! Do you have the home for Chestnut? Jaime Jaime is still very much a puppy. She wiggles at the end of her cage hoping someone will notice her and take her out to play. She appears to be already housebroken, can sit when told, and is very gentle when taking cookies. Come see me wiggle! Cruz I am a very sweet Chihuahua mix found astray on Route 10 and Cranston Street. I am friendly and calm and like to be held. I am a 5-year-old male and am available for adoption as soon as I am neutered. Will you adopt me? Pinky I am very confused. I was once very happy with my owner, but now I m in a cage. My owner is homeless and now I am too. I am 14 years old, very calm, and ready to go home forever. Will you take me home forever?
Slinky Slinky cannot walk without his daily dose of Prednizone. As long as he has his medicine though, he is very mobile and reminds most people of the dog in Toy Story. He is very loveable, can be held and cuddled, and would make a great companion for almost anybody! Could I be your companion? Edria I am very afraid. I sit in my cage at the Cranston Animal Shelter, in a box with a blanket in it. Most of the other cats come out and explore the room when they are cleaned, but I am too scared. All I want is for someone to bring me home with them, where I cannot be afraid anymore. Is there room for me at your home? Queen Queen is very timid when someone approaches her kennel; she doesn t trust people yet. She is a one-year-old pit bull mix and needs a home where she can be the only animal. Do you have the home for Queen? Leeza Hi, I m Leeza and I m a retriever mix waiting for you at the Cranston Animal Shelter. I take treats nicely, like to play ball, and am housebroken. It feels like I ve been here forever and I m very excited about getting adopted soon! Will you end my wait?
Papitto Papitto has no reason to trust humans. He was neglected by his owner and left outside on a chain to fend for himself. He is now very thin. Despite his past, he still gets excited when someone approaches his cage. Would you love Papitto? Lady Lady is a great dog. She appears to be housebroken, obeys basic commands, and is very gentle when taking treats. Lady would make a great addition to your home. Please love me. Suma Suma is a very beautiful and sweet cat. She likes to be held, and loves when you pet her silky grey fur. This three-year-old is one of the many animals at the Cranston Animal Shelter searching for a forever home. Is your home missing something? Kara My favorite things to do are scratch my scratching post and be with people. I came to the Cranston Animal Shelter in August and my goal is to be adopted by Thanksgiving. Can you help me achieve this goal? I ll be very thankful!
Roderick I am a favorite at the Cranston Animal Shelter among the people, but I have hissed at other cats. I am a 2-year old neutered male. Can I be part of your family? Guinevere and Lancelot Guinevere and Lancelot are a bonded pair, and cannot be separated. They are very calm and sweet cats, who love to be together. These siblings are 2 years old, and are ready to go home. Please come see us. Twila This little cat just wants to be loved. She is small, only 11 months old, and ready to go home. She is already spayed, vaccinated, and curled up on a fleece blanket waiting for you. Come end my wait. Niav My name, Niav, means brightness. However, I am not feeling very bright or cheery. I have been at the Cranston Animal Shelter for a very long time. I am a very sweet one-year-old tabby. Are you the one who will make me feel happy? Carnegie From my cage I can look out the window. Every day when I get let out, I sit on the windowsill and look at birds, squirrels, and people. Many people, as I have observed, drive right by the shelter, its residents, and me. My wish is that one day one of those cars will leave with me in it. Will it be yours?
