RULES & CONDITIONS FOR ALL EXHIBITORS: The Ayr County Poultry Show is held under POULTRY CLUB OF GREAT BRITAIN RULES and exhibitors making entries agree to be bound by such rules. Whilst every care will be taken to ensure that exhibits are safe during the show, neither The Ayrshire Agricultural Association or officials of the P.C.G.B. shall be held liable for any loss/damage to birds, eggs or equipment during the show. DEFRA, Scottish Government & Animal Health Guidelines for Bird Gatherings will be followed. Any bird suspected of suffering any disease or infestation will be refused admission to the show. The duty veterinary surgeon will be called upon if required. If during the show any exhibit is suspected of developing a disease/ailment, the Welfare Officer will remove it to the Isolation Area and inform the exhibitor. All Veterinary expenses to be the sole responsibility of the exhibitor. Any pen that has an exhibit removed for health reasons will be disinfected immediately. Watering / Feeding of exhibits is sole responsibility of the exhibitor. Exhibitors should bring their own dishes, water containers & feed. Classes may be amalgamated or split if deemed necessary, so please state breed, colour & sex on entry form. Junior Exhibitors MUST mark their AGE clearly on the entry form. More than 1 entry may be made in each class, but each entry must be entered separately on the entry form. No late/phone entries accepted. Entries close Friday 20 th April 2018 Entry Fees: Poultry Classes: 1.50 per entry Egg Classes: 1.00 per entry Poultry Marquee - Exhibits must be delivered on the Friday night (11 th May) after 5pm or on the Saturday morning (12 th May) before 9.15am. No late entries will be accepted. Judging begins at 9.30am on the morning of the Show. The Poultry Marquee shall remain open whilst judging takes place. If any judge is unable to officiate, we reserve the right to appoint a substitute. The judge s decision is final. Any complaint about an exhibitor or judging must be made in writing on the day and handed to the Poultry Convenor with a deposit of 20, which will be forfeited should the Poultry Show Committee deem the protest to have been made without reasonable grounds. Once penned only a judge, the exhibitor, the Convenor or a show steward may handle a bird. No bird may be removed from the Poultry Marquee before the close of show. Boxing will take place at 4.30pm, and exhibitors and their birds will be allowed to leave when the committee is satisfied that all birds are accounted for. Anyone with other livestock that have to leave the showground before 4.30pm should arrange that the penning slip authorises their alternative collection at 4.30pm All eggs to be removed by 4.45pm PLEASE NOTE: One free exhibitor pass will be sent for 8 or more poultry entries. ONE pass only will be provided per exhibitor. THERE WILL BE A CAR PARKING AREA AVAILABLE TO ALL POULTRY EXHIBITORS IN MAIN CAR PARK, NEXT TO POULTRY TENT. ENTRY TO THE POULTRY TENT WILL BE FROM THIS AREA.
