EXHIBITOR INFORMATION **Mixed breeds will compete in the same classes for the same titles and awards as purebred entrants** Obedience and Rally will be held INDOORS. Rally will FOLLOW Obedience No entry into the building by exhibitors before 7:30 a.m. prior to the trials. Good homemade food and desserts available for sale all day at the trial, priced reasonably. Limited Crating No Ex-Pens. Personal chairs will not be allowed in the building. Club will supply chairs. Directions to Trial Site: GPS Address: 1238 County Welfare Road, Leesport, PA 19533 From York/Lancaster Route 30 East to Route 222 North to Bernville/Strausstown exit. Turn Left onto Route 183 to light at West Leesport Road; make a left through housing development. At stop sign, turn right onto County Road. Travel approximately ¾ of a mile and driveway and sign for 4-H Center is on your left. From NJ Turnpike To Exit 6 Pennsylvania Turnpike to exit 298 (Morgantown) through tolls. Stay Straight to 176 North Connection. Take 176 to 422 West to 222 North (Allentown direction) to Bernville/Strausstown exit. Continue as above. From New Jersey/Allentown via Routes 22 and 78 Take exit for 100 S (Trexlertown). At second traffic light, bear right onto Schantz Road. Travel for 3.5-4 miles to intersection at Route 222 South. Continue south on 222 following signs for Reading and Lancaster. Continue another 1.4 mile past the Route 222 and Route 73 intersection and take the exit for Reading/Lancaster. DO NOT TAKE BUSINESS ROUTE 222. Continue for 4.7 miles exiting at Route 183. Turn right at the end of ramp onto Route 183 for 8/10 mile. Turn left at traffic light at West Leesport Road and continue as above. Route I-76/PA Turnpike (Exit 298 - Morgantown) Take Route 176 North to intersection with 422 (approximately ten miles). Continue on 422 West for 4.5 miles. At this point 422 splits with 222 N. Stay in left lane following 222 North for 3.1 miles to Bernville/Strausstown exit. At end of ramp, go left onto Route 183 and continue as above. From Harrisburg and West - 78 East to Route 183 South to light at West Leesport Road. Request in writing must be submitted to the Show Secretary with certificate from a Veterinarian before judging of the class in which the bitch is entered. Obedience: Each First Entry Fee Includes $0.50 AKC Entry Recording Fee for the first entry and each entry $3.00 AKC Entry Service Fee (Rules Applying to Dog Shows, Chapter 11, Section 2) Rally: A recording fee of $3.50 for the first entry of each dog and a recording fee of $3.00 shall be required for each additional entry of the same dog in each rally trial (Rally Regulations, Chapter 1, Section 5) First Entry of a Dog... $32.00 Each Additional Entry of the Same Dog in the same trial... $25.00 Transfers (formerly Move-ups) may be approved, provided the next level class (i.e. Novice to Open) and judges are available and the class has not reached its limit. The request for a transfer MUST be in writing and presented to the trial secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the trial. Please be sure to indicate whether you are entering for UDX/RAE legs and will not accept one class. This club does not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the Official AKC entry form for this event. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS Telegraph, Telephone and Unsigned Entries Cannot Be Accepted. Entries Not On an Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without Agreement and Rules on the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry Form are NOT ACCEPTABLE. Mail All Entries With Fees to: Pat Fallon, P.O. Box 398, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 Entries received without fees will not be accepted. Acknowledgement of entries will be made as soon as practicable via e-mail. Armband numbers and judging programs will be distributed via e-mail. Should such acknowledgement not be received by the exhibitor within a reasonable time, please notify the Trial Secretary. Make All Checks and Money Orders payable to Berks County Dog Training Club (BCDTC). CANADIAN exhibitors must make fees payable in U.S. FUNDS. Please mail checks or money orders with entries. Secretary assumes no responsibility for cash sent through the mail. Tabulate carefully. Due to cost of processing, no refunds $4.00 and under will be made. An AKC Recording Fee of $0.50 first entry only and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 per entry will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial or Tracking Test (Per Rules Applying to Dog Shows, Chapter 11, Section 2). An AKC Recording Fee of $3.50 first entry and $3.00 for the second entry will be required for each dog in any Licensed or Member Club Rally Trial (Per Rally Regulations, Chapter 1, Section 5). All Recording and Event Service Fees are paid to the American Kennel Club. No Entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Entry Fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of the Event's Show Committee. If because of riots, wars, strikes, civil disturbances, national emergencies, health emergencies, and the dictates of law enforcement or of the owner(s) of the grounds and/or facilities or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made. Extreme weather conditions, such as, but not limited to snow storms, hurricanes, lightning, extreme heat, heavy rains, or other circumstances including, but not limited to, the condition of the facilities or grounds and/or the ingress and egress from the grounds, must be considered for the health and safety of the dogs, exhibitors and spectators. The well-being of dogs, exhibitors and spectators is of paramount importance and, in the event it is necessary to cancel or stop the show before completion, no refund of entry fee will be made. Post Dated Checks and Returned Checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Show Secretary will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check. No Refund for Duplicate Entries. Every effort to find all duplicate entries will be made; however, if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. An Administrative Fee of $5.00 will be withheld from refunds for each entry cancelled prior to the closing of entries after the secretary has confirmed your place in the class. Errors on Entry Blanks. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. Dogs May Arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. Judges Will Not Wait for Any Dog Holding Up a Class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. All Dogs Present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercising ring. The Trial Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors but will not be responsible for, nor assume any liability in the event of an accident or misfortune to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these trials.
