Take home message Antibiotics usage and resistance needs to be monitored. Should be based on objective evidence. Protocol based management is helpful. Protocols should be routinely revised according to changing sensitivity of organisms Proper surgical technique is the ultimate elixir for antibacterial prophylaxis.
