Official Guidelines & Show Rules Continued Sale coops are available on a first come, first served basis. Sale coops are $5.00 each. They must be pre paid and included on the entry form. Each coop may hold only one rabbit which meets required minimum show weight. Sale coops can only be equal to or less than animals entered in the show. The showroom will be open Friday, April 15, 2016 from noon to 11 PM to accept entries. The showroom will reopen at 6 AM Saturday, April 16, 2016. All ear numbers and changes must be turned into the Show Secretary by 10 PM Friday, April 15, 2016. All animals must be in the showroom and cooped by 11 PM Friday, April 15, 2016. All animals may leave the building after the completion of the Satin Auction on Sunday, April 17, 2016. Any violation of this rule will result in loss of awards earned. All animals in the showroom must be entered in the NASS show or in a reserved sale coop. All animals must be permanently ear marked as well as marked in the right ear with a coop number. Markers will be available at check in. Most show coops have wire bottoms. Some are on solid bottoms with sawdust. This is an overflow attached building. SCSC & HOA will try and notify exhibitors if these will be used for rabbits entered in the show. Sale coops will be on solid bottoms with sawdust available. J feeders and water cups will be provided on all wire bottom cages. Sales coops will have cups available also. Exhibitors are responsible for caring for their own rabbits. Any rabbits locked in or not in their assigned coops at the time of judging will be scratched from their class and no refund issued. Any animal showing signs of sickness or disease will be removed to sick bay area. Any animal DQ d at table for showing signs of sickness or disease will be taken to sick bay. All sick animals will be evaluated by a committee appointed by SCSC/HOA. The host clubs reserve the right to refuse entries from all locations within 150 miles which has a confirmed outbreak of RCD/RHD/VHD within the past 60 days of the entry deadline. Building Rules Smoking is not permitted in the building. No dogs, cats, or other animals are allowed in the building. Only service animals with proper documentation are allowed. No roller skates, skate boards, rollerblades, or wheeled shoes are allowed in buildings. Parents are responsible for their children and any damage they may cause. Rabbits left in the building after 2 PM Sunday, April 17, 2016 become the property of SCSC and HOA. Please check that you have the correct rabbit when leaving. Facilities The show will be held in the Rabbit Barn at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, KS. It is a big building with everything under one roof from youth activities, sale coops, show office and rest rooms. Parking on three sides of the building with large entrances for easy unloading. The State Fair Rabbit Barn has permanent cooping with roughly 1200 coops that have welded wire floors with solid partitions between coops on the sides and back. J feeders and water cups are provided with each cage. The cages are stacked two high with extra wide aisles. Sale coops will be in attached building in poultry cages with solid floors and wire dividers. Carriers and supplies may be stored beneath caging. Additional shavings will be on hand. Go North on Main to 20 th Ave. The Kansas State Fairgrounds entrance is located at 2000 Poplar Street, accessible from either Poplar or 20 th Ave. The Showroom is to the East of the entrance.
