Preparedness measures (2) Monitoring programm sentinel animals AIM: early detection of LSD virus introduction Counties bordering with Serbia, Bosna and Herzegovina and Montenegro Buffer zone 10 km Zone divided in squares 10x10km Total NO of 66 farms/month to be checked, with an interval of 10 days, Each week 22 holdings will be checked (in a way that holding in which the sampling is conducted is not in a bordering area) Clinical examination of animals and blood sampling will be carried out Import restrictions According to EU legislation Taking into account EFSA SCI report
