K LONDIKE DERBY 2018 This year's Klondike Derby will focus on basic Scout skills and team building events with an Iditarod theme. As the Mushing Teams arrive at each station, the teams should demonstrate their Scout spirit by giving a Patrol yell and displaying a Patrol Flag. Points will be deducted from the scores if they don't show their Scout spirit. All towns must be visited and visited in the correct order to gain the most points. Scouts should also be prepared to answer Scout knowledge questions to earn additional points. Scouts shall "be prepared" for cold weather and general first aid, knots, lashings and team work. If a Patrol does not bring a sled they will still be required to transport the equipment listed for the sled on the following page. Any Scout who is deemed to not be properly dressed for the weather will not be allowed to participate. Who can attend the Klondike Derby?
