HOTEL INFORMATION The following hotels and motels will accept dogs. Exhibitors are reminded that some hotels may require a pet deposit and/or nonrefundable pet charge. Please keep dogs crated while in the hotel rooms and remember to pick up after your dog. Please note: Any hotel or motel listed in the premium list is subject to Event Committee Rules. We expect our exhibitors to be responsible guests. A report that an exhibitor at this show has abused hotel or motel property during this weekend may result in disciplinary action. The Mission Circuit Cluster and/or any breed or group club hosting shows on this weekend reserves the right to decline future entries from the offending party in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 11, Section 15 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows. BEST OF VARIETY COMPETITION Dogs that are Champions of Record and/or which according to their owner s record have completed the requirements for a Championship, but whose Championships are unconfirmed. The entry and showing of those dogs whose Championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for the Championship according to the owner s records. If, at the end of 90-day period, the Championship of the dog has not been confirmed by the American Kennel Club, no further entries of the dog for Best of Breed competition are to be made until it has been confirmed by AKC. Each dog handled in a Junior Showmanship Class must be entered in one of the Breed or Obedience Classes at the show, or must be entered for Junior Showmanship only. However, a dog may be substituted. Such substitution must be accompanied by an official AKC entry form. All such substitution must be made one half hour prior to Junior Showmanship judging at the show. Each dog must be owned or co-owned by the Junior Handler or the Junior Handler s father, mother, brother, sister, uncle, aunt grandfather or grandmother, including step and half relations or by a member of the junior handler s household. Every dog entered for Junior Showmanship must be eligible to compete in Dog show or in Obedience Trials. BITCHES IN SEASON ARE NOT ELIGIBLE. A dog that has been excused or disqualified by a Breed Judge or by a Bench Show Committee may still be handled in Junior Showmanship if eligible to compete in Obedience Trials. Junior Handlers who win a THIRD Novice Class with competition present after the closing of entries for the show may transfer their entry from Novice Class to the Open Class provided that this transfer is made by the Secretary and least one half hour prior to the schedule start of regular conformation judging or one half hour prior to the schedule start of the junior showmanship judging at the show, whichever is earlier. Winning the first place in an Open Class may qualify or count toward qualification for entry in certain future limited Junior Showmanship Classes. For information on eligibility requirements for limited Junior Showmanship Classes which have been approve to date by AKC. ATTENTION EXHIBITORS 1. A recording fee of.50 cents per dog and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 per entry will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial or Tracking Test. These fees are to be collected by the show-giving Club and paid to the American Kennel Club. Entry fees will NOT be refunded if it is impossible to open or complete the show because of riots, civil disturbance, fires, an act of God, public emergency, acts of public enemy, or other acts or cause beyond the control of the club. 9. Southern California Beagle Club may decline any entries for cause and may refuse to receive or may remove any dog on account of disease, viciousness or other cause, and no one shall have any claim against the Club or any official thereof. 10. Returned checks, post dated checks or declined Credit Cards do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Show Secretary will add a collection fee of $25.00 to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks for the same exhibitor will result in their being put on a CASH ONLY basis. The returned check MUST BE MADE GOOD by cash or money order BEFORE the dog will be allowed in the ring. 11. Entries not on official AKC Entry forms and photocopies of entry forms without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry Form are not acceptable. No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies a condition to acceptance. 12. Owners are to have their dogs ready to go into the ring promptly, so judging will not be delayed. Dogs need only to be present for their judging. Dogs not needed for further judging may be excused. Owners of dogs or the handlers of the dogs alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. This means it is not the responsibility of the ring steward, nor any agent of the show-giving club to locate any dog, its owner or handler. Waiting for dogs is a courtesy extended to owners and handlers. There is no American Kennel Club or club rule requiring a judge to wait for an owner or handler to Committee, or because the dog is ineligible to compete due to being entered incorrectly. 13. Owners must familiarize themselves with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany this premium list. ATTENTION EXHIBITORS (continued) 14. The club, its Show Secretary or their employees will not be responsible for the loss of or damage to any dog exhibited, whether the result of accident or other cause and in addition assumes no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by an exhibitor or handler. It is distinctly understood that every dog at these shows is in the care and custody and control of his owner or handler during the entire time the dog is on the show premises. 15. Southern California Beagle Club does not agree to arbitrate claims set forth on official AKC entry form for this event. 16. Dogs which according to their owners records have completed the requirements for a championship after the closing of entries for the show but whose championships are unconfirmed, may be transferred from the regular classes to the Best of Variety Competition, provided this transfer is made by the Show Secretary at least one half hour prior to the start of the earliest conformation judging at the Show. 17. Junior Handlers who win a third Novice class after the closing of entries may transfer their entry from Novice Class to the Open Class provided the this transfer is made by the Show Secretary at least one half hour prior to the scheduled start of the earliest conformation judging or one half hour prior to the scheduled start of Junior Showmanship judging at the Show, whichever is earlier. 18. There is no provision offered for unentered dogs at this show. 19. No ex-pens under grooming tents or judging tents will be allowed. 20. Trophies, prizes and cash will be awarded in the judging ring before the completion of the classes and breed to the person showing the dog. The Show Secretary is to be advised at once, in the event of any discrepancy. The Secretary and Southern California Beagle Club disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging of the breed is over. All trophies must be claimed the day of show. None will be mailed. 21. Do not leave any dogs in closed vehicles. All persons attending this dog show hereby waive any claim for damages against the club, its members or agents in the event a vehicle must be entered in order to rescue a dog from overheating or suffocation due to improper ventilation. 22.
