ROCHESTER POULTRY ASSOCIATION 108th ANNUAL SHOW GENESEE COUNTRY VILLAGE & MUSEUM Mumford, New York Sunday, October 4th, 2015 (Youth Only Show Saturday October 3 rd ) Entries close September 28th SHOW COMMITTEE: Bob Berkemeier; Kelsey, Jackie& Doug Ferguson; Harold Knapp; Jeff, Colleen, Devin & Robin Lewis; Dan & Marietta Schuth; Terry & Terry Strobel JUDGES: **Jamie Matts** **Mark Camilleri** ENTRY FEE: $3 each bird if you enter from 1 to 14 birds. $2.50 each bird if you enter 15 or more birds. $5 each bird for double coop (cock pheasants must be double cooped). *********************************************************************************** * OUT OF STATE EXHIBITORS: All poultry moved into New York require a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection or a USDA VS Form 9-3 and must be from either 1) a source flock in which 30 birds were tested negative for avian influenza within 10 days prior to entry into New York; OR 2) from a source flock that has been certified by the state of origin as an Avian Influenza Monitored Flock; OR 3) from an NPIP U.S. H5/H/7 Avian Influenza Clean or NPIP U.S. Avian Influenza Clean Flock. Copy of testing required with entry. * ALL EXHIBITORS must send a copy of current Pullorum test with entry for all birds except waterfowl. ************************************************************************************ * Birds showing signs of disease and parasites will be removed from the showroom. * Only owners, show staff or judges may handle birds. RPA will not be responsible for lost or stolen birds. * Coop in by 9:15 October 4th. Judging starts 9:30am. The show hall will open at 7:30 am Sunday the 4 th and on Saturday, October 3rd from 3pm until 5pm. The building will be locked overnight. * No entry changes will be accepted at the show. Entry fees will not be refundable. * Judging by current APA and ABA rules and standards. Judges decisions will be considered final. * Awards around 3:30pm. Please leave your birds in place until 4pm as per our agreement with the Museum. * Sale Coops: Sunday only. RPA s coops or provide your own. No pre-sale; first come, first served on Sunday morning. $5 each, unlimited refills. RPA reserves the right to regulate number and placement of exhibitors sale birds and coops to comply with Museum rules, foster a positive public perception and ensure comfort of birds. Sales will be managed in the designated area by an RPA club member. Tailgate sales or selling out of vehicles will be forbidden on the premises as per the Museum. Only birds can be sold. * Museum Passes: To receive your passes include one stamped, self-addressed, legal sized envelope for each exhibitor with your entry. Each exhibitor will receive: one Museum pass to park behind the show hall, one Museum participant tag to wear and one Museum guest entry pass. The Museum requires each guest to take their pass through the Museum entry gate at 10am and exchange it for a visitor tag to wear. There are no extra passes, so please do not request them. * Parking: Exhibitor parking behind the poultry barn. From Rochester: Take Scottsville Road (Route 383) south to Mumford. Or take I-490 west to Churchville-Mumford (Exit 3). Then take Route 36 south to Mumford.. From the Finger Lakes and the South: Take I-390 north to Avon (Exit 10), turn left onto Route 5. Then go west to Caledonia and make a soft right onto Route 36 north to Mumford. From the East: Take Exit 46 off the NYS Thruway. Follow I-390 south to Avon (Exit 10); turn right onto Route 5; go west to Caledonia, and at traffic circle in Caledonia turn right onto Route 36 north to Mumford. From Buffalo and the West: Take NYS Thruway I-90 East to Exit 47. Follow Route 19 toward LeRoy. Follow the green signs with a left on North Street, a right on Route 36, a right at Route 383 into Mumford. From Niagara Falls, NY: Take Robert Moses State Parkway East to I-190 South. At Exit 16, merge onto I-290 East. At end, stay left to merge onto I-90 East. Take Exit 47. Follow Route 19 toward LeRoy. Follow the green signs with a left on North Street, a right on Route 36, a right at Route 383 into Mumford. From Toronto, Ontario, Canada: Take 403 West to 405 East, cross at the Queenston/Lewiston Bridge. Continue on I-190 South. At Exit 16, merge onto I-290 East. At end, stay left to merge onto I-90 East. Take Exit 47. Follow Route 19 toward LeRoy. Follow the green signs with a left on North Street, a right on Route 36, a right at Route 383 into Mumford. When you reach Mumford: At the flashing traffic light, turn west onto George Street, which becomes Flint Hill Road.
