Field Research SMEC can help evaluate products, production practices, or other techniques for your clients or production system Research overseen by SMEC faculty Findings evaluated in comparison with all other published data and resources available Final product includes summarized findings delivered in a written report

Search and Summary of Current Evidence SMEC has unique resources and expertise To conduct reviews of research literature and all other sources of information To answer specific clinical questions Information is compiled and evaluated for relevance and scientific soundness Findings are summarized and returned

Future Plans SMEC plans to build a new state of the art production facility Facilitate basic and advanced technical training to swine health professionals Allow demonstration and comparison of cutting edge production and health technologies Showcase swine production, health, and welfare to the media and public

Funding Estimated annual operating budget is around $500,000 Primary funding to come from industry resources and fees for delivery of instructional modules Opportunity to give back to the profession and support the industry Very appreciate of the support we have received thus far and continue to seek other partners Innovative Agriculture Solutions LLC
