* Derby des jeunes (Novice stake) Confined stake to Irish Setters born in 2016 and 2017 (letter M and N for France). Derby aims to select young hopes on their natural genetic qualities, it means before the hand of man has not changed, in good or bad, the expression of their natural qualities on the field. Selection criteria are in their highest rating: undertaking, passion, gait, style, find and set. ENTRIES Derby will be judged as follows: A run of five minutes is enough to judge if the undertaking, gait, head carriage are in the highest note, otherwise, the judge will stop the run. Dogs considered in the note will continue their run and will be reviewed as many times as the judge wish. Faults like flushs and hair chasing are not necessarily playoffs. A solid set on partridge, long enough is required to be selected. Steadyness to wing is not required. Derby winners will be presented on Saturday evening «barrages». Many people in Europe reckon on your understanding to help them to make a success of this event. We ask you to return the Derby entry forms correctly writhed up (in capital blocks) before 7 of March. The senior judge will be appointed by the organizing country. 10 - Due to the ideal central location and the incontestable density of wild game the IIRSC has decided that the European Championship will be held in France. The competition may only be held in another country with the approval of the majority of the IIRSC at the meeting of the International Club of the previous year. 11- Each member country of the IIRSC will provide a fixed financial contribution towards the leasing of trial land for The European Championship (50 in 2018). This amount may be revised each year for the following year by a decision taken during the meeting of the IIRSC. 12 - Entry Fees for the European Championship will be 35 per dog in 2018 for organizational costs. This amount may be revised at the annual IIRSC meeting for the following year. 13 - The Red Club of France will collect the financial contribution and entry fees from the other competing countries. In the contrary case the jury will put an end to the course. Phase 2 - the contact with game - The pure breed style, - The olfactory power, - The find, - The set. - Art.10 Only the dogs considered in the standard will enter phase 2 and will continue their run and/or, will be seen again as long as the jury will estimate that they deserve to be put in presence with partridges. - Art. 11 The jury of each competition will indicate winner of the 2017 Derby the dog which will have demonstrated that he possesses at the highest level, selection criteria searched in the two phases. The winners of the 2 Derbies will be presented to the Gallery before a barrage run off where they will make a demonstration for a few casts. - Article 12 If the jury retains several dogs of a very close level, these dogs will be seen again during a final barrage run off which will take place in front of public, before the barrage of the CACIT and the PSI. Dogs then will run in solo during several casts in front of a jury chaired by a qualified judge which will decide the winner based on the quest, speed, gait, gallop and head carriage of each dog. During this barrage run off, dogs will not necessary have to set. - Art.13 After this eventual barrage, the jury will be able to award the 2018 1 year and 2 year Derbies winners.
