take a lose LOOK! Insect SPIDER? From far away, insects and spiders might look the same. But, taking a closer look at these critters will reveal just how different they are. Scientists believe there are up to ten million different kinds of insects in the world. Insects have three main body parts: a head, an abdomen, and a thorax. They also have 6 legs and antennae, which are used for smelling. Some insects have wings for flying. Insects eat all types of foods, including plants, meat, and sometimes even trash, paper, and plastic. Scientists believe there are about 40,000 different kinds of spiders in the world. Spiders have two main body parts: a head and a thorax. They also have 8 legs. Spiders do not have antennae. They feel through little hairs on their legs. Spiders do not have wings. Spiders eat mostly insects, but sometimes they eat mice and frogs.
