PARKING OVERNIGHT: The Holiday Inn has stated that no one will be allowed to sleep overnight in their motor homes (city ordinance). It is approximately three miles from the specialty show site Alameda County Fairgrounds, and where the All-Breed Shows are being held Friday, Saturday, Sunday. FROM HWY 580 GOING EASTBOUND, take Foothill/San Ramon Road exit. Loop under the freeway, and head north on San Ramon Road. Turn right at signal onto Dublin Blvd. Take first right onto Regional Street and follow to the hotel at end of street on right. FROM HWY 580 GOING WESTBOUND, take Foothill/San Ramon Road exit. Turn right onto San Ramon Road, then right on Dublin Blvd, and right onto Regional Street. FROM HWY 680 EITHER DIRECTION, take the 580-West and immediately exit onto Foothill/San Ramon Road. Grooming & Crating Equipment Due to the airlines constraints on baggage, we will try to provide necessary equipment such as exercise pens or grooming tables. Best of Breed Competition The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record. Dogs which according to their owners' records have completed the requirements for a championship but whose championships are unconfirmed. The entry and showing of dogs whose championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where a dog completed the requirements for a championship according to the owner's records. If, at the end of the 90 day period the championship of a dog has not been confirmed by AKC, no further entries of the dog for Best of Breed competition are to be made until its championship has been confirmed by AKC. Grand Champion Select Dog and Select Bitch At the judge s discretion, Grand Championship points may be awarded to: Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex, Select Dog, and Select Bitch. Dogs eligible for Grand Champion competition are Champions competing in BOB, move-ups to BOB, and Champions that win Non-Regular classes and become eligible for BOB. Altered or spayed CH veterans are eligible at independent specialties. Winners Dog and Winners Bitch are NOT eligible. Award of Merit One Award of Merit offered for every three (3) Champions entered in Best of Breed, to be awarded at Judge s discretion to recognize superior quality. Best Puppy in Regular Classes (PM Only) To be chosen from the first place winners of the Puppy 6-9 and 9-12 Dog and Bitch classes. If a Best Puppy entrant is awarded BOB or BOW, it is automatically awarded Best Puppy. Offered at Afternoon Show only. Best Bred By Exhibitor To be chosen from the first place winners of the Bred By Exhibitor Dog and Bitch classes. The entry must be handled by the Breeder. If a Best Bred By entrant is awarded BOB or BOW, it is automatically awarded Best Bred By Exhibitor. Offered at both Morning and Afternoon Shows. Parade of Champions Afternoon Specialty Only For Yorkshire Terriers over six months that are AKC Champions of Record. This class is a non-competitive exhibition class and each entrant in the Parade will receive a rosette. Use the Official AKC Entry Form to enter and indicate Parade as the class, see Page 4 for Entry Fees. Full particulars (Reg#, Birthdate, Breeder, Sire, Dam) should be given for each dog even if Parade is the only entry for the dog. Sweepstakes Offered with Morning Specialty Only Sweepstakes are open to all Yorkshire Terriers 6 months to under 18 months of age who are also entered in the Regular Classes. Sweepstakes entries should be on the same entry form for a Regular class, indicating Sweepstakes in the space for Additional Classes. The Sweepstakes fee is $15.00 per entry plus the appropriate entry fee for the Regular Class. The Sweepstakes will be judged prior to the Morning Regular Classes. All AKC Rules applying to the Regular Classes apply to the Sweepstakes. Sweepstakes Limitations: No dogs that are Champions of Record as of the day of the Specialty, or dogs who have earned enough championship points to have finished their championship according to their owners records, are allowed to compete in Sweepstakes. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which according to their owners records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner, it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entries close after the date acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name.
