The secondary closing date for this trial for advancement in level only is Monday July 5 th at 6:00pm. Express entries will only be accepted if the Signature Waiver is signed. No telephone or email entries will be accepted. There is no limit to the number of dogs that can participate in this agility trial. Checks will be deposited on receipt. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry. There will be a $40.00 service charge for returned checks. Amounts shall be paid within 30 days of postmarked notice of returned check, if such date follows the event date. Any fees not received within 30 days of notice result in cancellation of event results for all classes for the registration number(s) of delinquent entry/entries. No reinstatement of results is possible, and all awards must be returned within 120 days of notification, or the dog s registration may be suspended pending restitution. Any unpaid fees or shortfalls must be paid prior to the start of the event or entry is canceled without recourse. To be accepted, entries must be complete, signed (for minors, signed by parent or legal guardian), received by the closing date, and accompanied by the correct fees. All dogs must be registered with USDAA(registration has a U prefix for Championship & Performance classes). This test if open to all dogs at least eighteen months of age, including purebred and non-purebred, except bitches in season, dogs suffering from any deformity, injury or illness that may affect the dog s ability to perform safely, or dogs exhibiting signs of aggression. Dog Registration Application -- $20.00 Register online at www.usdaa.com to receive U# immediately, & height card Junior Handler Registration Application -- $20.00 Dogs must be registered with USDAA in order to compete in USDAA sanctioned events. A registration card and number with a U prefix will be issued to facilitate entry at USDAA events and tracking of show results in the regular classes. Junior handlers (those 18 years of age and younger) and their dogs must be separately registered for participation in the USDAA s Junior Handler Program (UHJP). A registration number with a J prefix will be assigned for the use in entering UJHP events. A dog competing in both programs (regular classes and UJHP) must be registered separately for each program, for which the total fee is $40.00. All dogs must be registered with USDAA in order to compete in USDAA sanctioned events. Registration ma be made online at a reduced rate with the USDAA or registration may be made concurrently with entry to this show, a form for which is included in this Agility Test Schedule. No leads, collars, food, toys, or other aids or devices shall be permitted on the course at any time, except as provided in USDAA rules and regulations. Safety shall always be of foremost consideration at all times. Handlers through entry at this event accept full responsibility for themselves, their guests and the actions of their dogs. Electronic Timing will be used at this event. The Organizing Committee of an event may refuse the entry of any competitor or dog for just cause should the committee view that participation by competitor or dog would be prejudicial to the sport. However, any committee so doing must notify the competitor in writing (with a copy to the USDAA office) in anticipation of or upon receipt of entry. The notice must include the reason for refusing the entry and a brief explanation of the basis for their decision. The burden of responsibility for appropriateness of such action rests solely with the host group and it s Organizing Committee. No entries shall be accepted, changed, altered or withdrawn for any reason after the closing date. Fault limits may be applied in all classes for which faults are assessed. Limits, if any, shall be announced during the judges briefing. In the event that entries exceed levels that are deemed manageable for this event, one class may be cancelled. If a class should be cancelled, a full refund for the class may be made. USDAA and/or High Octane Agility assumes no additional liability related to reschedule or cancellation of classes for any reason. Dogs must remain on leash at all times, except when competing in the ring or in the warm-up jump area. No dogs may be left unattended except when properly kenneled in designated kennel areas. Day kenneling only is permitted. USDAA and High Octane Agility can and do not assume any liability for loss of any items left unattended. Dogs must be exercised only in designated area. Please pick up after your dog. Refunds There will be no refunds for entries withdrawn after the closing date or in the event a dog and/or handler are dismissed from competition, regardless of reason for such dismissal. Partial refunds for bitches in season and injured dogs will be made, provided you produce a signed letter from a licensed 3 rd party veterinarian within 24 hours of the end of show, this does not include dogs that are injured during or after the event. No entry fee will be refunded if the Test cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, Acts of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, strike or any other cause beyond the control of the organizers. Prizes and Awards Competitors must be present with dogs immediately following the class in which an award is earned in order to claim prizes and awards. All prizes and awards must be claimed the day awarded. Championship and Performance Divisions Ribbons awarded to 1 st -4 th place in each jump height for all classes. Ribbons awarded to 1 st -4 th place for open and mini divisions in relay. Check In and Measuring Check in shall be from 7:15am 7:45am on Saturday and Sunday. All competitors must check in at the check in table during the morning check-in time. Express check-in will be available for those competitors that submitted copies of their dog(s) permanent height card(s) (yellow plastic) with their entries Measuring-In: All dogs must be measured-in during the morning check-in time UNLESS the dog jumps 26 (22 Performance), the handler presents a yellow permanent height card, temporary card with three signatures awaiting a CMJ, or check-in letter from USDAA/print out of dog info page from subscriber account indicating dog is permanently carded. A dog that measures up will run first in the higher height for all classes. If the dog is unprepared for the higher height, it may be run For Exhibition Only, but no awards or qualifying scores may be earned and no change in program is permitted at check-in. Test Site No competitor may enter premises prior to 7:00am on Saturday and Sunday. There will be food, beverages and water available at the site. All tenting, kenneling and parking will be restricted to designated areas. Please respect our parking assistants, your cooperation is expected. Please do everything possible to keep your hotel rooms neat and orderly, especially in the event of inclement weather. Bring extra towels and sheets. Every effort will be made to host this trial given inclement weather. Overnight RV parking will be allowed at test site. ALL RV parking is by reservation only. Cost is $30 per day. Parking is for self contained RVs only. Tents or camping in tents is not permitted on Dream Park grounds. No open fires are permitted on any part of Dream Park property. All dogs must be on leash while on Dream Park property except when competing or in the designated warm up areas. Unleashed animals on Dream Park property will be subject to capture and/or fine and removal. Fine is $50 per occurrence. Loading and unloading ONLY in front of the main building entrance. Please do not leave your vehicle unattended in this area. Fire Marshals require that no vehicle may be parked within 75 feet of any building, pavilion or in any roadway in order for emergency vehicles to have access at all times. All vehicles must be parked in designated areas only. Vehicles not in compliance with parking rules will be subject to towing at the owner s expense. Tournaments Complete tournament regulations may be found on the USDAA website -- General Information Forms and Documents Library. 2010 Grand Prix of Dog Agility & Performance Grand Prix SM -- Local Qualifier Competitors must have a zero fault round to earn a qualifying score. One qualifying score is required for entry in Round 1 of a Regional Championships. Two qualifying scores are required for entry in the quarterfinals at the World Championships. These tournaments are open to all competitors regardless of titles earned or skill level. Awards: A double maroon and white ribbon shall be awarded to all qualifiers in the Grand Prix, with a double maroon and pink ribbon awarded to all qualifiers in the Performance Grand Prix. Additionally the first place qualifying winner in each height class shall be awarded a bye voucher, permitting them to advance to the final round of a regional championship. 1 st 4 th place ribbons will be awarded in each jump height. Dog Agility Steeplechase, and Performance Speed Jumping SM Steeplechase: Competitors must achieve at least one qualifying score as described in the complete rules for entry in a Regional Championships, and two qualifying scores are required for entry in the quarterfinals at the World Championships. Speed Jumping: Competitors must achieve two qualifying scores for entry in the Cynosport World Games. These tournaments are open to all competitors regardless of titles earned or skill level. Awards: Prize money shall be computed based upon 30% of the total entry fees to be allocated in accordance with the payout table below regardless of the size of entry in any height class. Competitors may enter both Championship and Performance Program classes for which they are eligible; however, under NO circumstances may a dog be entered in the same Championship and Performance class on the same day at this agility test (i.e. Standard at any level in both programs) Championship Program Starters Level; See Chapter 5 of the USDAA Rule Book. Advanced Level: See Chapter 4 of the USDAA Rule Book. Masters Level: See Chapter 3 of the USDAA Rule Book. Performance Program Classes are offered at Level I, Level II and Level III Performance Dog I: See Chapter 7 of the USDAA Rule Book Performance Dog II: See Chapter 7 of the USDAA Rule Book. Performance Dog III: See Chapter 7 of the USDAA Rule Book. Non-Standard Classes Gamblers Class: consists of a course with no pre-determined route and each obstacle is assigned a point value. In the 'opening' period the handler seeks to accumulate points by performing the obstacles of his/her choice in the time allotted. At the conclusion of the 'opening' the handler attempts the 'gamble,' as a sequence designated by the judge to be handled from a distance, for additional points. Jumpers Class: consists of a course of jumps and may include a tire and tunnels. Snooker Class: has an opening sequence of point collection similar to Gamblers followed by a closing sequence of a set pattern. Roughly parallels the billiards game of 'Snooker.' Pairs Relay: consists of a standard course with one dog and handler running a portion of the course, followed by a baton exchange to a second handler and dog who run the second portion of the course. Partners must be from the same level and height division, mini (CH 12/16, Perf 8/12 ) or open (CH22/26, Perf 16/22 ). Should only one dog be entered in a program/level, dogs not entered in the class or in that program/level may not be recruited to form a qualifying pair.
