Colusa is approximatey 65 miles north of Sacramento. Directions from the SF Bay Area: Take Hwy 80 east towards Sacramento. From 80 east, take exit for Hwy I-505 north toward Winters. Follow I-505 North to I-5. Take I-5 North toward Redding. Exit east (right) at Hwy 20 Williams/Colusa. Follow Hwy 20 East for approx. 8 miles. The Colusa fairgrounds will be on your right. Follow signs to the TK Marshall arena. Directions from South Bay: Take 680 North toward Concord. Follow 680 until it connects to Hwy 80. Take Hwy 80 East toward Sacramento. Continue by following the directions above from SF Bay Area. Directions from Marin Co.: Take Hwy 12 or 37 East toward Vallejo. From either, take Hwy 80 East toward Sacramento. Veterinarian On Call - During the Show & After Hours Northpointe Veterinary Hospital is a 24 hour facility located 25 miles east on Hwy 20. The address is 1463 Live Oak Blvd in Yuba City. (530) 674-8670. Follow Hwy 20 east from the fairgrounds through downtown Colusa to Yuba City. Turn left on Live Oak Blvd. Northpointe is on your right in.6 miles. LCA Safety Policy All dogs must be leashed or crated at all times, unless authorized by a judge or event chairperson. Leashes may not exceed 6 in length. Retractable leashes are not allowed. Dogs must be under control at all times. Dogs exhibiting uncontrolled or aggressive behavior may be asked to leave the show grounds or be crated by an event chairperson or NCLC board member. Please walk your dogs in appropriate areas and be sure to deposit waste using the usual bags and buckets. Proof of current rabies certificate required at show site. In consideration of dogs and exhibitors entering the rings, please do not allow your dog to block or distract dogs entering the ring areas. AM Show Mx. Registration Entries must be received by October 19 th, 2016 on an official AKC Event Entry Form Additional copies of the Premium and Entry Forms may be downloaded via the link on the LCA website (www.leonbergerclubofamerica.com) or on the NCLC website (www.norcal-leonbergers.org) All entries must be paid by check or money order which must accompany the entry. Requests for additional printed copies of the Premium and/or Entry form should be addressed to the Show Secretary, Jim Carretta (info below). Use a separate form for each dog, but you may use the same form for both shows.. The entry fee for Conformation will be $30/per dog/per class. Entries must be sent with payment to: LCA/AKC Show Secretary 6745 Beech Avenue Orangevale, CA 95662 MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO: Northern California Leonberger Club NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS A Recording Fee of 50 Cents for each dog and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 will be required for each recordable single entry class at any Licensed or Member Club Show or Obedience Trial (American Kennel Club Rules Chapter 11, Section 2). A $3.00 AKC Recording Fee will be required for each entry in Rally (American Kennel Club Rally Regulations Chapter 1, Section 5). These Fees are paid to the American Kennel Club. Conformation Handling Clinic We will have an encore edition of our handling clinic from last year with AKC Judge and conformation trainer Barbara Binder. The cost will be $20 per dog and we prefer that you sign up with your registration to reserve a spot. We will take day of show entries only if there is room. Conformation Classes Offered The age of a dog shall be calculated up to and inclusive of the first day of a show. For example, a dog whelped on January 1st is eligible to compete at a show the first day of which is July 1st of the same year. The dog may compete in the appropriate age specific class at shows up to and including a show the first day of which the dog reaches the age of the next age specific class. Any dog that is six months of age or over may compete in any of the other Regular classes. The Puppy 6-9 Month Class shall be for dogs that are six months of age and over, but under nine months. The Puppy 9-12 Month Class shall be for dogs that are nine months of age and over, but under twelve months. The 12-18 Month Class shall be for dogs that are twelve months of age and over, but under eighteen months. The Novice Class shall be for dogs six months of age and over, which have not, prior to the date of closing of entries, won three first prizes in the Novice Class, a first prize in Amateur- Owner Handler, Bred-by-Exhibitor, American-bred, or Open Classes, nor one or more points toward their championships. The Amateur Owner-Handler Class shall be for dogs that are at least six months of age that are not champions. Dogs must be handled in the class by the registered owner of the dog. This class is restricted to exhibitors who have not, at any point in time, been a professional dog handler, AKC approved conformation judge, or employed as an assistant to a professional handler. Additionally, members of the immediate family or household of a current professional handler are ineligible for this class (as defined in Chapter 11, Section 13). The Bred-by-Exhibitor Class shall be for dogs that are: Six months of age or older as of the first day of the show; Not Champions of record on the date of closing of entries for the show; Individually registered with The American Kennel Club as of the date of the show; Owned or co-owned by any of the breeders of record as of the date of the show. The person handling the dog in this class must be a breeder of record and an owner of record of this dog. In any subsequent classes for which a dog from the Bred-by-Exhibitor class becomes eligible, there are no restrictions as to who may handle. The American-Bred Class shall be for all dogs (except champions) six months of age and over, whelped in the United States of America, by reason of a mating which took place in the United States of America. The Open Class shall be for any dog six months of age or over except in a member specialty club show held only for American-bred dogs, in which case the Open Class shall be only for American-bred dogs. The Winners Class shall be divided by sex and each division shall be open only to undefeated dogs of the same sex which have won first prizes in either the Puppy, Twelve-to-Fifteen Month, Fifteen-to- Eighteen Month, Twelve-to-Eighteen Month, Novice, Amateur Owner- Handler, Bred-by- Exhibitor, American-bred or Open Classes. There shall be no entry fee for competition in the Winners Class. After the Winners prize has been awarded in one of the sex divisions, the second prize winning dog, if undefeated except by the dog awarded Winners, shall compete with the other eligible dogs for Reserve Winners. No eligible dog may be withheld from competition. Winners Class shall be allowed only at shows where American-bred and Open Classes shall be given. A member specialty club holding a show for American-bred dogs only may include Winners Classes, provided the necessary regular classes are included in the classification. The Veteran Class shall be for dogs that are seven years of age or over, and shall be judged immediately following Winners Class. The class winner will advance to Best of Breed.

I (WE) AGREE THAT ANY CAUSE OF ACTION, CONTROVERSY OR CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE ENTRY, EXHIBITION OR ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT BETWEEN THE AKC AND/OR THE EVENT- GIVING CLUB AND MYSELF (OURSELVES) OR AS TO THE CONSTRUCTION, INTERPRETATION AND EFFECT OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE SETTLED BY ARBITRATION PURSUANT TO THE APPLICABLE RULES OF THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION. INSTRUCTIONS 1. (Variety) If you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering. i.e. Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color). Beagles (not exceeding 13 in.; over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.) Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired). Collies (rough, smooth). Bull Terriers (colored, white). Manchester Terriers (standard, toy). Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat). English Toy Spaniels (King Charles & Ruby, Blenheim & Prince Charles). Poodles (toy, miniature, standard). 2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition. Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs, which, according to their owner's records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog i.e., age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to AKC (For complete rule refer to Chapter 11, Section 3).
