NON-REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING MULTIPLE DOG ENTRIES, AM ONLY Stud Dog Class - For dogs that have sired at least two dogs or bitches entered in this show. The award will be based on the merits of the get. The owner of the Stud Dog need not be the owner of the get. Stud Dog must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and shown in the ring with his get. As the decision of the judge in this class will be based on the merits of more than one dog, no one of the dogs making up the entry judged First in this class will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won this class. Brood Bitch Class - For bitches that have whelped at least two dogs or bitches entered in this show. The award will be based on the merits of the produce. The owner of the Brood Bitch need not be the owner of the produce. Brood Bitch must be entered in the Brood Bitch Class and shown in the ring with her produce. As the decision of the judge in this class will be based on the merits of more than one dog, no one of the dogs making up the entry judged First in this class will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won this class. Brace Class - For two or more dogs of the same breed and variety, irrespective of sex, with identical ownership. 4
PUPPY SWEEPSTAKES (AM SHOW ONLY) Sweepstakes will be open to all owners and breeders of Boston Terriers where the dogs are between the ages of six months and eighteen months. Dogs entered in this Sweepstakes must also be entered in the Regular Classes. Champions of Record are not eligible to compete in this event; however, puppies with major wins may compete. Mark entries for Sweepstakes in the box on the Official AKC Entry Form for Additional Classes and enter on the same form at the same time as for the Regular Classes. No professional handlers may handle any puppy/dog entered in sweepstakes unless the puppy/dog is owned or co-owned by the handler. Sweepstakes Classes for both sexes Puppy 6 to 9 Months...Puppy 9 to 12 Months 12 to 18 Months Class winners will compete for Best in Sweepstakes and Best of Opposite Sex to Best in Puppy Sweepstakes. SWEEPSTAKES PRIZE MONEY: Money received for entries in the Sweepstakes will be distributed as follows: 35% will be retained by the Club to defray expenses. JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP AM ONLY Novice Junior Class - For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years and under 12 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Place, with competition present in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Novice Intermediate Class - For Boys and Girls who are at least 12 years and under 15 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Place, with competition present in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Novice Senior Class - For boys and girls who are at least 15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member club show. Open Junior Class - For boys and girls who are at least 10 years old and under 14 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three (3) first place awards with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member club show. Master Class - For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won ten First Places, with competition present, in an Open Class at a licensed or member show. The calendar for this class will be November 1 - October 31 of the following year. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry without charge, the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to compete for the following year.
