TIME 2 BEAT CLASS (T2B) Time 2 Beat is a new AKC agility class that became a titling class in 2011. Time 2 Beat is a "hybrid" class built primarily from obstacles from Jumpers With Weaves, with the option of having one to two contacts included on the course. This class is unique, as each dog has the chance to set the "Time to Beat" for each jump height division. This is different than the current AKC classes (Standard and JWW) where the Standard Course Time (SCT) is set by the course yardage as wheeled by the judge. Additionally, this is different than any other AKC agility classes because there is only one course to set for all dogs to compete. This is a time saver for clubs, judges and exhibitors. To earn the T2B (Regular) or T2BP (Preferred) title, a dog must earn 15 qualifying scores and 100 points. Points are based on how close your dog s time is to the fastest dog in your jump height. Regulations for this class can be found in the Regulations for Agility Trials in Chapter 10. MOVE-UPS Trial Secretary must receive move-up form by 6:00 PM the Monday before the trial. There will be day-to-day move-ups Saturday to Sunday provided the request is made in writing to the Trial Secretary on Saturday at the trial. SET-UPS You can set up Friday afternoon after 3 pm. No shade is available. Overnight security will be provided both Friday and Saturday night. However dogs, equipment or personal items left on Show Grounds are the responsibility of each exhibitor. Valle Del Sol Golden Retriever Club is not responsible for lost or stolen dogs or equipment. Fees must accompany entries. Express-mailed entries MUST include signature permitting them to be left at the Event Secretary s address without recipient signature. Exhibitors are responsible for complete, accurate and legible information on their entry forms. Entry fees are non-refundable except for bitches coming into season after the closing date will be eligible for a refund up to 75% of total entry fee paid. If, because of weather, riots, civil disturbance or other acts beyond the control of the club, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no entry fees will be refunded. Exhibitors are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. There will be no refund of entry fee for exhibitors that are asked to leave the show site because of their dog or children creating unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engaging in unsafe behavior. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians' recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. Arizona requires rabies vaccine every 3 years. Official AKC Measuring for Jump Height Cards will be offered at these trials. Two measurements at the same jump height are required to obtain a permanent official AKC Jump Height card after the dog turns two years old. The safety of the dog is our primary concern. Any exhibitor entering this trial acknowledges that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all of the obstacles safely. All dogs must be on leash at all times while on the show premises except when in exercise pen, at practice jump or in agility ring. Do not leave any dogs in closed vehicles. All persons attending this dog show hereby waive any claim for damages against the Valle Del Sol Golden Retriever Club or its member; in the event a motor vehicle must be entered to rescue a dog from overheating or suffocation due to improper ventilation. The judging will start promptly. During the hours of judging owners are to be on call and have their dogs ready to bring into the judging ring promptly in order that the judging will not be delayed. Dogs need only be present for the judging of their class. Dogs not needed for further judging may be excused. Trophies and rosettes must be claimed the day of the show. No trophies will be mailed. No smoking allowed on show grounds. 5 6
