NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS ENTER ONLINE: http://www.barayevents.com 2 RCLRC ENTRIES CLOSE JUNE 25, 2014 American Kennel Club Rules and Regulations will govern this Show and Exhibitors must make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany this Show Premium List. The AKC will collect a $3.00 AKC Event Service Fee on each entry of a dog, and 50 cent Recording Fee for the first entry of a dog in all AKC licensed and member dog shows, obedience trials, and tracking tests. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the Recording Fee to be collected on the first entry only. (AKC Rule. Ch.11, Sec. 2). In accordance with AKC Rally regulations, the AKC will collect a $3.00 per entry of dog Rally Event Service Fee. A show-giving club shall assume the responsibility of collecting all Recording Fees and Event Service Fees for AKC. CANADIAN EXHIBITORS MUST SUBMIT ENTRIES WITH CHECKS DRAWN ON U.S. ACCOUNTS OR WITH IN- TERNATIONAL MONEY ORDERS IN U.S. FUNDS No Entry will be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Telegraph, e-mail and unsigned entries cannot be accepted and will be returned. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side are NOT ACCEPTABLE. The Club and/or its Superintendent assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or the owner s agent. RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE COMPLETENESS OF ENTRY RESTS SOLELY WITH THE ENTRANT. RETURNED CHECKS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY FEE. The Superintendent will add a $25.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitor or agent may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY BASIS. REFUNDS for cancellations due to judge change or cancellations made prior to entries closing will be mailed to said Exhibitor or Agent AFTER THE SHOW. An administrative fee of $5.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries. FAX ENTRIES Fax entries will be accepted up to closing time. Fee is $4.00 per dog per show. If the credit card charge is denied for any reason, an additional service charge of $25.00 will be added. FAX NUMBER: (360) 755-2248. This is for Fax Machine ONLY. Incomplete or illegible Fax entries are not acceptable as a valid entry in a show. Proof of transmission is not proof of receipt of a legible or complete transmission (under AKC Rule Ch. 11, Sec. 4). A Fax-Friendly entry blank PDF is available for download at www.barayevents.com Entries will be acknowledged after entries close with entry acknowledgment and judging program to address on entry. Should Exhibitor NOT receive an acknowledgment within a reasonable time, PLEASE notify the Superintendent at (360) 755-7086 or email dogshows@barayevents.com. Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered incorrectly. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES or OVERPAYMENTS. The Superintendent will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show NO REFUND will be made. To find out about any AKC event cancellations call the AKC Event Cancellation Hotline 877-252-3229. Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Superintendent will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class Judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. Only dogs eligible for these events will be admitted into show area. There is no provision for unentered dogs. LOSS OR DAMAGE The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. TROPHIES & PRIZES will be awarded in the ring to the person exhibiting the dog. No awards will be mailed. ALL RIGHTS TO TELEVISE, VIDEOTAPE, ADVERTISE, PHOTOGRAPH, PROMOTE or otherwise exploit this event are vested in the Club, or in persons to whom assignments of such rights have been made in writing by the Club. All persons and animals on the Show Grounds at any time while the show is in progress, do by attending this show or participating therein, grant to the Club the right to photograph, televise, videotape, audiotape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent. The club will issue and mail the refund check to the listed owner of the bitch. Bitches in season are not allowed to compete in Obedience and/or Rally trials. AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Test Saturday, July 12 No Pre-Entry The test will start at approximately 10:00 am and will take place adjacent to the obedience ring. CGC dogs must be at least 6 months old. Test Evaluator will be Lorna Brandt. Cost is $10.00 per dog. Winners Dog Winners Bitch BEST OF BREED COMPETITION The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed Competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs that according to their owners records have completed the requirements for a Championship but whose Championships are unconfirmed. The showing of dogs whose Championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where a dog completed the requirements for a Championship according to the owner s records. Select Dog and/or Select Bitch, if applicable, will be chosen immediately following Best of Breed. JUDGES AWARD OF MERIT The judge may select up to 10% of the superior quality specimens in addition to Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex from the Inter-sex Competition to receive an Award of Merit. Non-Regular Classes (Involving single dog entries) Veteran Dog Class Veteran Bitch Class A class for Dogs and a class for Bitches 7 years of age or older. A neutered male or a spayed bitch may be entered in the Veteran Dog or Veteran Bitch class. Hunting Retriever Dog Class Hunting Retriever Bitch Class A class for dogs and a class for bitches that have received a Junior, Senior or Master Hunter Title in an AKC Licensed or Member Trial. Winners of the above classes, if otherwise undefeated, are eligible to compete for Best of Breed. Non-Regular Classes (involving multiple dog entries) NOTE: As the judge s decision in the Stud Dog and Brood Bitch classes will be based on the merits of more than one or or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judge first in these classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won this class. ATTENTION EXHIBITORS AND SPECTATORS IMPORTANT SITE INFORMATION Show Site Entrance Fee: Champoeg State Park charges a day use fee of $5.00 per vehicle per day at the park. Display your receipt on your front dashboard. Overnight Camping: Overnight parking with RV hook-ups is available in another part of Champoeg State Park (approximately ¾ of a mile from the show site). Call Oregon State Reservations Northwest at 1-800-452-5687 for information and reservations. The park also has 6 Cabins and Yurts (a Mongolian tent) which sleep 5 for rent in this area, no dogs are allowed in the Yurts, they must be kenneled outside. As this is a State Park, we suggest for RV, cabin and Yurt reservations be made as soon as possible. Website: www.oregonstateparks.org. BE AWARE THAT CAMPING SITES HAVE AN AM CHECK OUT TIME. Plan to bring chairs and shade protection for you and your dog. The park has many trees for shade but they are not close to the rings.
