Winners of the Veteran Classes, if otherwise undefeated, compete for Best of Breed) BEST OF BREED COMPETITION: The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed Competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs that according to their owners records have completed the requirements for a Championship but whose Championships are unconfirmed. The showing of dogs whose Championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where a dog completed the requirements for a Championship according to the owner s records. AWARD OF MERIT The Regular Class Judge, may, at his/her discretion, present an Award of Merit Rosette to no more than three (3) Dogs and/or Bitches who have competed in the Best of Breed judging at this Specialty. SWEEPSTAKES The Sweepstakes is open to all Schipperkes who are at least 6 months of age and under 18 months of age at the time of the Specialty. All dogs entered in a Sweepstakes class must also be entered in a Regular Class or for Best of Breed Competition at this Specialty, at the regular entry fee. Sweepstakes Classification Dogs, 6 months and under 9 Bitches, 6 months and under 9 Dogs, 9 months and under 12 Bitches, 9 months and under 12 Dogs, 12 months and under 15 Bitches, 12 months and under 15 Dogs, 15 months and under 18 Bitches, 15 months and under 18 Division of Sweepstakes Entry Money Club shall retain 25% for expenses. After deductions, the balance of the monies received will be divided as follows: Best in Sweepstakes...15% Best of Opposite Sex...10% The remaining money will be divided in the classes as follows: First Prize...40% Second Prize...30% Third Prize...20% Fourth Prize...10% VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES The Sweepstakes is open to all Schipperkes who are at least 8 years of age at the time of the Specialty. Gates will be closed at 11:00 P.M. 6. No dogs may be left in buildings overnight. 7. Handicapped parking available with Handicap Permit and License Number and are subject to reservation deadlines. 8. Exhibitors are responsible for damage and clean up of their parking space. 10. All vehicles will be parked in the same direction in the rows. 11. All RVs must have a WORKING FIRE EXTINGUISHER. 12. All RVs using a generator must have proper exhaust venting. 13. For the well-being of all exhibitors and dogs, the Show Committee reserves the right to limit the use of generators in most areas from 10:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M. 14. Unauthorized vehicles will be impounded. 15. Day of show parking is $5.00 per space per day and will not be in reserved area. Motorhomes and campers will be charged two (2) spaces. 16. Power Hookups are limited and not guaranteed. 17. Parking personnel will assist you in locating your space and answering questions you may have. THEY WILL NOT REASSIGN SPACES. Parking is a privilege extended by the Gig Harbor Kennel Club and the Club reserves the right to withdraw this privilege from any person who feels he cannot abide by the rules and instructions of our parking crew, or who resorts to abusive language and/or other tactics. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS ALL EVENTS The American Kennel Club Rules and Regulations will govern this Show and Exhibitors must make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany this Show Premium List. Effective for all events held on and after January 1, 2008, The American Kennel Club will collect a $3.00 Event Service Fee for the first entry of a dog and a $3.00 service fee for each additional entry of the same dog in the regular and non-regular recordable single entry classes, in all AKC licensed and member club events. The current 50 cent recording fee will continue to be collected where applicable. The event-giving club shall assume the responsibility of collecting all Event Service Fees for The American Kennel Club. These event service and recording fees shall be forwarded to The American Kennel Club along with all other required event results within seven (7) days of the close of the event. CANADIAN CHECKS OR MONEY ORDERS MUST BE DRAWN ON U.S. ACCOUNTS, AND/OR MADE PAYABLE IN U.S. FUNDS No Entry will be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Telegraph, e-mail and unsigned entries cannot be accepted and will be returned. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without Agreement and Rules on reverse side are NOT ACCEPTABLE. The Club and/or Baray Events assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or the owner s agent. RESPONSIBILITY FOR COMPLETENESS OF ENTRY RESTS SOLELY WITH ENTRANT. RETURNED CHECKS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY FEE. BaRay Events will add a $20.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitor or agent may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY BASIS. REFUNDS for cancellations due to judge change or cancellations made prior to entries closing will be mailed to said Exhibitor or Agent AFTER THE SHOW. An administrative fee of $5.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries. There is no refund for bitches in season in Obedience. FAX ENTRIES Fax entries will be accepted up to closing time. Fee is $4.00 per dog per show. If the credit card charge is denied for any reason, an additional service charge of $20.00 will be added. Proof of transmission is not proof of receipt of a legible or complete transmission (under AKC Rule Ch. 11, Sec. 4). Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered incorrectly. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES or OVERPAYMENTS. BaRay Events will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show NO REFUND will be made. Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Superintendent/Show Secretary will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class Judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. Only dogs eligible for these shows will be admitted into the show area. There is no provision for unentered dogs. LOSS OR DAMAGE The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. TROPHIES & PRIZES will be awarded in the ring to person exhibiting the dog. No awards will be mailed. ALL RIGHTS TO TELEVISE, VIDEOTAPE, ADVERTISE, PHOTOGRAPH, PROMOTE or otherwise exploit this event are vested in the Club, or in persons to whom assignments of such rights have been made in writing by the Club. All persons and animals on the Show Grounds at any time while the show is in progress, do by attending this show or participating therein, grant to the Club the right to photograph, televise, videotape, audiotape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent.
