AKC All Breed Agility Trials, July 26 & 27, 2014 Cabernet Indoor Sports 6474 Patterson Pass Rd., Livermore, CA 94550 Set Ups, Check In, Start Times, Walk Through Preliminary running order contingent on moveup entries not yet received, or when adding wait-listed entries after closing. Exhibitors shall be provided armbands or stickers indicating their dog s running order number for this trial. Per AKC rules, the move up deadline is 6 pm on Monday, July 21, 2014. Absolutely no move ups for will be allowed after this date and time. Move ups for must be given to the Trial Secretary, at the show site, in writing within 15 minutes of the last dog completing the course on. Novice B/A, and classes will run together by jump heights with division B running before division A. Excellent/Master, and classes will run together by jump heights with Master running before Excellent. The preferred classes will run intermingled with the regular classes by height. Each class will be briefed separately. Lunch breaks will be at the Judge s discretion. A warm-up area, consisting of a regulation agility jump will be provided for all exhibitors. Check in 8:00 am at 6:15 am Judging will begin 9:00 am at 7:00 am Walk through will begin as soon as the Judge has approved the course. This will be at approximately : 8:30 am : 6:45 am Open and Novice and, and : all heights will walk the course together prior to All About the Height Cards All dogs, regardless of jump height must either: present a height card at check, have sent a copy of their height card with entry to this show, or be measured. Dogs that do not have an AKC height card or who have not provided a copy of their height card to the trial secretary must be measured BEFORE their first run of the weekend. Measurement of dogs without height cards will take place near the main score table throughout the day when Tammy Domico, Candy Gaiser and Larry their class being judged. Master/Excellent : Two walk groups: 4-16 and 20-26. To prevent conflicts both groups will walk before judging begins. The order will be walk/walk/run. See page four for Master/Excellent and walk through directions. The order will be walk/run, walk/run etc. Each group will walk immediately before they run. If you think there is a possibility you will miss your scheduled walk through due to a conflict then plan to walk with an earlier group. If walking with an earlier group you may NOT walk again with your group. Brockett are not otherwise occupied. Fill out the NCR form before measurement. Forms will be located on as clip board near the maps and score posting books. Directions: Traveling West on 580. Exit Greenville Rd. The exit will place you onto Northfront Rd. Slight right onto Northfront then right onto Greenville. Travel 1.7 miles. Right on Patterson Pass Rd. Travel 1 mile. Site will be the right. Traveling East on 580. Exit Vasco Rd. Take the ramp heading South. Travel 1 mile. Turn left onto Patterson Pass Rd. Travel.5 miles site will be on the left. Parking: Plenty of free parking in and around the site and the Indoor Go Cart building next door. Business on each side of Cabernet/Indoor Go Cart are closed on the weekend. OK to park in these lots. Page 2 Crating Be prepared to conserve space. X-pens may only be used for multiple dogs. Stackable crates are best. All crates / x-pens MUST be placed on a mat or plastic to protect the floor. The main crating area will be the smallest soccer arena. Make rows and leave isles. No living room set ups in crating. Additional crating will be down the center isle and along the back wall. Club Members, Equipment Manger, Crew Chiefs, Chief Course Builders, Score Table, Paper Hanger and Timer Czar will crate in the Party Room. Dogs in Soccer Area Only Dogs are only allowed in the soccer area. They are not allowed in any other area of the building: basketball court, batting cages, baseball infield, inflatable corral. Do We Really Need To Talk About Pee & Poop? Dogs may NOT urinate or defecate inside the building or on the outside walls of the building. Owner / handler of any dog who violates this rule will be assessed a $25 clean up fee paid directly to Cabernet Indoor Sports and will be required to scrub their mess. Additionally, a Bench Committee Hearing may be held if deemed necessary. The site sells bottled water and sodas. Lunch will be provided for the Club Members, Equipment Manager, Crew Chiefs, Judges, Chief Course Builder, Score Table, Paper Hanger and Timer Czar. All others should plan to bring their own food. RV Parking RVs may park on the West side of Cabernet or behind Indoor Go Cart. They may not park on the North side of Cabernet. Self contained only. No power, no water. The Livermore Wal-Mart allows overnight parking. Self contained. Dogs MAY urinate or defecate on the grass area in front of the building. This grass area is approximately 10 wide and runs for miles in front of the industrial buildings. Plan the potty breaks people or we will lose this show site. Course Builders The full time course builders this weekend are: Barbara Sciaroni, Jack Sciaroni, Greg Leal, Tammy Langer, Tammy Domico. Page 3 Course Maps Once the Judges arrive at the show site hard copies of the course maps are placed in one of the three black file boxes labeled either Master, Open or Novice. A copy of each map is posted in the score posting notebooks. The file boxes and score posting notebooks will be located on the bleachers. Copies of the course maps are based on entry numbers so please DO NOT take a map unless you are actually in that class. By taking a course map for a class of which you are not entered you are taking a map from another exhibitor. Exhibitors should consider bringing with them to the show tracing paper and a pencil. If the maps are gone they can trace a map from the posted copy. Volunteers The American Manchester Terier Club would like to thank you in advance for volunteering to work at this year s event. To show our appreciation, each volunteer will a voucher in the amount of $2 for each class worked. Vouchers are valid towards entry fees at future agility trials, lunch, or any vendor present this weekend. Vouchers will be distributed by the ring coordinators, Julie O and Pat White. Dry erase boards will be located near each ring. If you see a blank space and have free time just write your name in the blank. All runs will be video recorded by Silvina. The ribbons and first place prizes will be located outside the Party Room. There will be a clipboard at the awards table. If the ribbon labels are ready the daily awards form, located on the front of the clipboard, will be initialed next to that class. All scores MUST be verified by the judge BEFORE ribbons can be released. You need to be patient, often all dogs within a height class are not scored at the same time due to ring conflicts. Conflicts will be resolved based on the Judge s instructions. Examples of legitimate conflict: working or running in another ring, dogs in the same height class with the same hander too close together in run order. Examples of illegitimate conflicts: handler late to show site, handler not paying attention and missed their run, handler moving dog so they can run before or after a particular dog or to not run before or after a particular dog. These are considered by AKC to be personal emergencies and not conflicts. Exhibitors may NOT move their own dogs at the gate.
