SECTION I YOUTH DOG SHOW Superintendent: Robyn Henry & Shari Wright Sunday, July 9, 2017 Check in 2:00 PM Show is promptly at 3:00 PM Youth must be under 18 years of age. ENTRY FEE: $2.00 per dog $1.00 PER CLASS PREMIUMS: (Classes 1-14) 1 st - $5.00, 2 nd - $4.00, 3 rd -$3.00, 4 th - Ribbon, 5 th - Ribbon RIBBON: Classes 20-24 RIBBON ROSETTE: Class 25 Rules: A current rabies vaccination is required for all exhibition dogs three months of age and older. All vaccine label directions must be followed, and the final dose of vaccine must be administered at least 15 days prior to entry into the exhibition. All rabies vaccinated dogs must be accompanied by a rabies vaccination certificate which must contain information fields consistent with the current version of the National Association of State Public Health Veterinarians Rabies Compendium (including, but not limited to, animal identification, breed, sex, age and color; the vaccination tag number; the vaccine name, lot number, duration of immunity, and manufacturer; and the date of vaccination), and must be accurately and legibly completed. The certificate must contain legible name and contact information of the veterinarian who administered the vaccine. A copy of the rabies vaccination certificate is acceptable. * No dogs will be permitted on the fairgrounds. Under no circumstances will it be tolerated if anyone touches any animal that does not belong to them in any way. All entries will be required to show in their respective grooming, showmanship and obedience classes; except when a dog is in season and may be shown in grooming and showmanship classes but not in obedience. Dog show will be run under the county 4-H dog rules. The following rules pertain to dogs entered in the agility class which possibly include obstacles like bar jump, panel jump, double & triple jump, tunnels, chute, weave poles, and tire jump: A. Dogs must be 15 months old, the day of the Round up. B. Dogs must be shown in a flat, buckle collar with no tags or dandling objects C. Dogs must enter/exit ring on leash D. All runs will be times and will only be used in case of a tie. E. Dog may show on or off lead. F. SECTION J 4-H ARCHERY COMPETITION Superintendent: Beth Lechman 724-493-7545 Dennis Harrold 724-244-2459 Jacob Wright 724-261-7479 Entry Fee $2.00 This is a skill competition and awards will be based on scoring from 6 arrows shot at each of three distances based on class entered. No written test is required. Participants must be members of a 4H archery program Participants and parents/guardians must sign a liability waiver before beginning the competition Each competitor must supply their own equipment EQUIPMENT PERMITTED: 1. Long bows, recurve, and compound crossbows are not permitted. 2. Sights, stabilizers, cable guides and mechanical releases. 3. Arrows can be made from any materials. All arrows must be equipped with field points. 4. Broad heads are NOT permitted 5. All archers are to bring a minimum of six arrows to the competition. It is recommended that a spare arrow be included in the archer s equipment due to the possibility of arrow failure during competition. 6. A tie will be broken by a shoot-off from the farthest distance 7. Range rules will be announced prior to the start of the shoot. CLASS 1. Junior Division 8-10 year olds will shoot 10,15, and 20 yards 2. Intermediate Division 11-13 year olds will shoot 15, 20 and 30 yards 3. Weigh-in: 4:00-5:45 PM, Friday, July 15th 9,000 lbs. and up Weigh-in: 3:30-5:15 PM Saturday, July 16th Friday Meeting for Tractor Drivers, 5:45 PM, Saturday Meeting for Tractor Drivers, 5:15 PM. Pulling starts immediately after Drivers Meeting. In the event of rain on Friday, all pulls will be Saturday. RULES: 1. After tractor is checked and weighed in, it will be placed in a designated holding area. No more weights can be added. 2. The driver that is pulling for the trophy must be the driver that weighs in the tractor. 3. Tractors will be numbered by use of random pull from a bingo machine at the time of registration. The tractors will pull in numerical order. 4. Current Class and on deck class only to be in the arena. 5. Tractor and 2 people only in the arena after weigh in. 6. Tractors are limited to 3 classes per night with 2 drivers. First Driver is for Trophy Second Driver is for Fun. 7. A pull consists of a 15-foot pull, with 2 chances to make 15 feet. (Both tries will be added together to make 15 feet.) 8. Sled will be pulled in one direction, and pulled back to a designated point by a pullback tractor. 9. When the flagman drops the flag the tractor must stop. 10. Safety rules are at the discretion of the judges. (i.e. front end lifting in an unsafe manner.) 11. Weights can be transferred from one point of the tractor to another. 11. NO RIDERS or HITCHHIKERS on the tractor at any time. 12. All drivers must be a minimum age of 12 years to 18 years of age and have written permission from parents or guardian upon entry. 13. NO Children in arena during event under 12 years old. 13. If any weights or parts of the tractor fall off during the pull, it will be disqualified. 14. If pulling off of a 3-point hitch, it must be maintained at 18 inches or under. 15. NO FAST DRIVING. 16. Tractors must have basic stock appearance. 17. No jerking the sled, chain on the sled must be tight. 18. There will be out of bounds lines marked with chalk; tractors must not cross this line! 19. Judges decision is final. 20. Must have all wheels & tires on tractor! Must be complete. 104

Create a poster on 8 x 11 paper, supplied to you. All other sizes maybe rejected. 2. The poster must be about sanitation within your barn. 3. Entries must be turned into the office no later than NOON on Monday. 4. ALL entries will be displayed in the Home Ec Building for the duration of the fair. 5. ONLY one poster may be submitted per exhibitor. 6. Posters will be evaluated on use of the theme, visual appearance and creativity in relation to the exhibitor s age. 7. Winners will be announced on Monday at 5:00 pm.

SECTION O: MOST BEAUTIFUL BABY CONTEST DTAF Beautiful Baby Competition All contestants will have their picture and short bio featured at the fair. The public will vote by putting their loose change in the box containing the photo and biography of their favorite beautiful baby. The competition will begin Sunday, July 9, 2017 and will last the week of the fair. Voting for your Beautiful Baby will end on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 10:00pm. A final count of the boxes will be done on Saturday July 15, 2017; we will announce the winner at 6:00 that evening. We hope you and your beautiful baby can be there but attendance that evening is not required. The baby with the most money in their box will win $50, second place wins $25 and the third place winner wins $15. The winner s check will be sent by mail. The remaining money will go to support the Amanda Dias Scholarship Fund. Contest Requirements: Must be between the ages of Newborn 7 years Submit the entry form with the $5 entry fee. Entries must be submitted no later than June 30, 2017. Recent color photograph of your beautiful baby (No larger than 4x6) Short biography, include only information you want public as this will be put with their photograph for everyone to read. Both the photo and bio must be able to fit in an 8x10 picture frame. Please do not submit photos and bio in picture frames. **Special Note: The biography can include any hobbies, likes and dislikes, pets, what makes them laugh, etc. This does not have to be in black and white. You may submit it as wild and colorful as you would like. Just make sure it can be read easily and will fit under the color photo in an 8x10 picture frame. All photos must be picked up Sunday July 16, 2017. Otherwise the photos will remain in the fair office. SECTION P: PIE EATING CONTEST Registration: Tuesday of fair 5pm 6pm Registration Fee $3.00 Contact: DTAF Association- Shari Wright 724-261-7500 Premiums 1 St - $10.00 2 nd Ribbon 3 rd - Ribbon The Pie Eating Contest will take place at the Activity Tent beside Home Ec Bldg. Ages 8-10 will begin at 6 sharp, Ages 11-15 to follow, Ages 16 and up to follow Registration will be limited to 10 participants in each category. Unless there are less participants in the previous class. First come, first eligible to enter. Awards will be given to 1st place in each category only. There are no awards for 2nd or 3rd place in any age division. CONTEST RULES: No hands can be used! No one can assist you. The first person to finish his/her whole pie and stands up is the winner. In the event of a tie, whichever one of the tied contestants that displays the biggest pie filling smile will be announced the winner for that contest. Any visible signs of sickness will cause disqualification. A completed registration form with acknowledgement of the waiver must be signed by each contestant prior to the start of the contest Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian present, and must have a parent or guardian's signature on their registration form. LIABILITY WAIVER: As a participant, you agree not to hold and/or any of the volunteers responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen articles before, during or after the event. As a participant, you also agree not to hold Derry Township Ag Fair and/or any of the volunteers responsible for any accidents that should occur. No refunds will be given.
