JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP: Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition present after the closing of entries for a show may transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class provided that this transfer is made by the Superintendent at least one-half hour prior to the scheduled start of Junior Showmanship judging at the show. Correction may be made from one age division to another. provided this transfer must be made to the Superintendent at least one half-hour prior to the judging of any Junior Showmanship class at the show. OBEDIENCE OR RALLY: A dog who has earned a title after entries have closed may be moved up to the next class, provided the transfer request is presented to the Superintendent at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the trial. Move-ups may be approved provided the next level class and judge are available and the class has not reached its limit. The width of the reserved area will not exceed the width of the parking space(s) and will only extend 10 feet directly in front of the parking space(s). Any usage of this area that exceeds 10 feet in front of the parking space(s) will block the fire lane and will not be allowed. Fire lanes will be strictly enforced at all times by Sammamish Kennel Club. CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELVES There are plenty of refuse containers on the grounds. All attendees are required to keep their areas clean. Anyone caught littering could be subject to an event committee hearing. EXHIBITORS PLEASE NOTE If animals left in vehicles are in distress due to heat or any other circumstance, the vehicle will be forcibly entered, the animal recovered and the owner cited. If it is necessary to rescue a dog from a parked vehicle on the show grounds or in the parking area, the club will not be responsible or liable for any damage to the vehicle involved. CANOPIES FOR SHADE ARE ALLOWED A clear walkway will be maintained around the rings. Fire Lanes will be closely patrolled, and must be kept clear. USE OF RAMPS At the sole discretion of the judge, approved breeds may be examined on the ground or on a ramp: Clumber Spaniels, Sussex Spaniels, Whippets, Irish Terriers, Kerry Blue Terriers, Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Bulldogs, Chinese Shar-Pei, Chow Chows, Keeshonden, and Polish Lowland Sheepdogs. (Whippets may be examined on the ground, on a table or on a ramp). Basset Hounds are expected to be judged on the ramp during breed judging. Ramps may be used in emergency situations to judge any breed. (In all but emergency situations, the exhibitor has no recourse. In an emergency situation, where use of a ramp is not indicated in the premium list, an exhibitor has the option of withdrawing their entry and receiving a refund.) The numbers following each Breed (Variety) indicate the number of Regular Class Dogs, Regular Class Bitches, Non-Regular Class Dogs or Bitches, and Best of Breed (Variety) (Dogs/Bitches). FEES OVERNIGHT PARKING BY RESERVATION ONLY RESERVATIONS ARE CLOSED DAY PARKING: $6.00 per day HOURS Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010, *4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Sunday, August 29, 2010, 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. *Exhibitors will NOT be admitted to the show grounds before 4:00 p.m. on Thursday NOTE DAYS ARE FIGURED FROM 4 P.M. TO 4 P.M. IF YOU ARRIVE FRIDAY MORNING, AND LEAVE SATURDAY NIGHT, YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR 2 DAYS. PARKING RULES On site parking is a privilege extended by the Sammamish Kennel Club and the Sammamish Kennel Club reserves the right to withhold this privilege from any person who does not observe the rules and/or instructions of Parking Personnel on duty. Abusive language and other tactics will not be allowed and anyone unable to abide by the rules will be escorted off the premises without recourse or refund of fees. Anyone blocking the fire lanes, illegally parking in handicapped parking, driving/parking inside the show limits or tying up the load/ unload zone will pay a fine of $100.00 and will be towed away at the owner s expense and risk. The Load/Unload Zone has a 15-MINUTE LIMIT. PLEASE OBSERVE! Handicapped parkers must have and display a current/valid state handicapped permit or vehicular license plate. We have limited handicapped parking and the loading zone CANNOT be used as an alternative. There are NO HOOK-UPS for overnighters. There will be NO discharge of ANY liquid on the grounds. Violation will cause immediate ejection from the grounds with no recourse or compensation. GENERATOR EXHAUST MUST BE PROPERLY VENTILATED IMPORTANT NOTICE: Should the on-site veterinarian determine that any dog enclosed in a vehicle is in danger, the Sammamish Kennel Club reserves the right to break into that vehicle. Anyone parking in the show site parking areas must accept full responsibility for damages should this occur. Specialty Club parking and grooming PARKING & GROOMING SUPERVISED BY Sammamish Kennel Club AND ITS DESIGNEES All of those Specialty Clubs that have reserved space(s) in the first row only of RV parking, will be allowed to reserve the space directly in front of their parking space(s) for grooming, or other usage. The width of the reserved area will not exceed the width of the parking space(s) and will only extend 10 feet directly in front of the parking space(s). Any usage of this area that exceeds 10 feet in front of the parking space(s) will block the fire lane and will not be allowed. Fire lanes will be strictly enforced at all times by Sammamish Kennel Club. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS ALL EVENTS Effective for all events held on and after January 1, 2008, The American Kennel Club will collect a $3.00 Event Service Fee for the first entry of a dog and a $3.00 service fee for each additional entry of the same dog in the regular and non-regular recordable single entry classes, in all AKC licensed and member club events. The current 50 cent recording fee will continue to be collected where applicable. The event-giving club shall assume the responsibility of collecting all Event Service Fees for The American Kennel Club. These event service and recording fees shall be forwarded to The American Kennel Club along with all other required event results within seven (7) days of the close of the event. RESPONSIBILITY FOR COMPLETENESS OF ENTRY RESTS SOLELY WITH ENTRANT. REFUNDS for cancellations due to judge change or cancellations made prior to entries closing will be mailed to said Exhibitor or Agent AFTER THE SHOW. An administrative fee of $5.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries. There is no refund for bitches in season in Obedience. Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered incorrectly. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES or OVERPAYMENTS. BaRay Events will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show NO REFUND will be made. Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Superintendent/Show Secretary will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class Judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. Only dogs eligible for these shows will be admitted into the show area. There is no provision for unentered dogs. LOSS OR DAMAGE The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. TROPHIES & PRIZES will be awarded in the ring to person exhibiting the dog. No awards will be mailed. ALL RIGHTS TO TELEVISE, VIDEOTAPE, ADVERTISE, PHOTO- GRAPH, PROMOTE or otherwise exploit this event are vested in the Club, or in persons to whom assignments of such rights have been made in writing by the Club. All persons and animals on the Show Grounds at any time while the show is in progress, do by attending this show or participating therein, grant to the Club the right to photograph, televise, videotape, audiotape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent. The Club is not responsible for the actions or products of the commercial vendors at this show.
